The Bible makes it quite clear that God does not speak to people any more. Revelation has ended with the conclusion of the Bible. Today God speaks through His Word, the Bible and it is from that that we get our guidance for life. There are certain denominations such as Pentacostals, that don't accept that and claim that God still speaks to them. All you have to do is be around them for a while and see how many things that God says to them that don't happen. I think we need to be realistic and if God spoke to someone through divine revelation it would be as absolute as reality and it would happen all the time and every time. It just doesn't happen. When someone says that to me , I don't believe them.

Many think the Holy Spirit doesn't work in their personal life. But The Spirit
"speaks" to us in many ways. Some hear an audible voice, as we have telepathic ability. But always ask for guidance and protection.
The Holy Spirit can give us an answer to our question by drawing our
attention to a word on a sign. Or something we hear in a conversation.
The Spirit is called the Comforter. Have you ever worried about something, and a realization, a thought came into your mind, that helped you better
understand the situation? That was the Holy Spirit comforting you.

I believe they r schizophrenic.
If we become very passionate about something. If we are very much in doubt that what i m doing is right or wrong, we generally ask ourselves about what we r doing and talked ourselves whether the things i m doing is right or wrong or something. This is normal. But, when we become obsessed about this behavior, when we ask ourselves,we hear the voice. It is actually our believe, our perception, our own thought, predictability that we hear. If the matter is related to relegious believe, whatever we r doing, we hear a voice which we believe the voice of god which is not happening in reality. And if the case would normal, I would find the answer asking ourselves without hearing the voice and at that time, i m certainly willing to know what is the right behavior that god could tell me about my behavior, thus, according to my perception, I fix a behavior to follow. But, if we have that level of obsession, that willingness to hear from god about our behavior are being heard. It is our believe that we hear the voice of god in realilty because we believe now god is now giving me direction, and there is no doubt about it. it is a mental disorder, which nowadays, successfully can be cured. thanks to mordern science.
Thanks.

For years I made fun of people who said this.

Boy was I a fool.

Then Someone told me to read a book called the course in miracles.

I thought it was stupid too at first.
I tried to hear what it said I could hear if I listened, but it was just not there. Then one morning after I had all but given up, it was there.

I have written some of it down. If you want to read any of it email and I will send some to you. I don't want to put it on here or morons like I used to be will just call me skitzo.

Love and blessings Don

I wouldn't believe them unless I thought they meant in their hearts or something they got the idea, and that is only if they are trying really hard to focus on being spiritual and I suspect they don't know any better or maybe are "high" on the idea that God can settle a matter in their hearts.

God speaks to all his believers but they don't always Listen.
Jesus spoke to Saul after Jesus went to be with our Father now Saul was a Christian killer Jesus said to Saul in Acts 9:4 And he fell to the earth and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul why persecutest thou me.
go ahead and read it this is when soon after he became the Apostle Paul.
so if some one said God spoke to me i would ask what did he say?
be careful tho because Satan can appear as a angel of light. ask for Gods widom he will give it God gives us the gift of discernment of spirits

Has i believe in God myself, if he did talked with someone i would probably believe.Would not think that is schizophrenia or either anything like it . No one knows what the future reserves to each of us. So, anything is possible! Also God makes the rules also he can unmake them... He is the "Big Boss".

I think they could be schizoprhenic.
But I believe them, because when God 'speaks' to a person, it really means they are in tune with their inner self.

yes i would believe them ... God is whatever we feel God is .. if that is a quiet voice within us or a sign that appeared in front of us .. then who are we to argue with what makes sense to that person
i dont feel it is in any way connected to being schizophrenic ... unless that voice is harmful and taking over our own thoughts ...
i love my voices lol
