I asked this question yesterday, but I feel I have not constructed my argument in a logical way.
Isn't God suppose to love all people, including gays? So, why would God want to punish people for the thing that they have no control of. By that, I mean gays are born gay. This is evident from the fact that there are gay animals (yes, scientists have observed sexual activity between same sex in animals). Besides, genetic influences sexuality too. Homosexuality may lead to a decline in population, isn't it the same for infertile individuals? And there maybe some negative stereotypes against gays, but they are just the same as straight except they are attracted to same sex. In terms of "treatments", as the Chruch stated, there is no effective "treatments" for gays to turn straight. Those "treatments", in fact, will lead to psychological harm because gays suppress their desire and force themselves to love something they don't. If we have no control of our sexuality, why is being gay wrong?

Regardless of what you believe. Whether Jew, Muslim, Mormon, Catholic, Protestant, Nondenominational, Atheist, etc. Do you question / test your beliefs. Do you study the universe and world around you to see if your beliefs are cohesive and not contradictory. If you believe in the spiritual do you test the spirits (1 John 4:1 NIV). Do you seek truth? And if you found the "truth" was different from what you believed would you, could you change?

. . . are so judgmental of others for their beliefs and yet are so offended when others do not accept theirs e.g. saying Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas.

I really think that these people who believe and act like that are doing christianity a disservice and harming it severely.

In outlining the Bible Dr. Missler connects science to the Bible. He notes that Einstein's theory involving lengthy, mass, velocity, and time are relative. Therefore, there is no distinction between time and space and that we live in a four demensional continuum--three spatial dimensions and time.Missler uses Isaiah 57:l5 as Biblical suppport of this fact, "For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity."Missler adds, "He is not in our time domain--He is outside our time altogether. "Learn the Bible" asserts that scientists now know that the universe is finite and that it had a beginning. It further states that that "Space is not simply an vaccum; Isaiah 64:1, Pslam 102, 2Peter 3:12, Hebrews 1:12 are in support. On page 19 Missler says that microbiology has shown complexities in "even the simplest cell" thus trumping Darwinism.
Also that extraterrestials corrupted the earth, broader significance of the tower of Babel, and Jacob, "the conniver." Readers thoughts?

I know this family and the man is an associate pastor. They have a 13 year old daughter who is very hyperactive. I have an 8 year old daughter is is very hyperactive also. He tells me and my husband that when my 8 year old grows up, she is going to be getting in a lot of trouble and end up pregnant at a young age. She is not promiscuous. She is just your typical 8 year old know it all. A beautiful child though. His daughter lies and steals and he and his wife doesn't believe me and he accuses my daughter of stealing when it's the other way around. He always says negative things about her. I know she is no angel. No child is. He also says that my husband is the one who gets up with my five month old daughter when I'm the one who does. This man's wife thinks I treat my husband like crap cause his ex wife did. How can they pass judgement when the bible speaks against it and what do I tell them?

THE SILENT TREATMENT

A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were
giving each other the silent treatment. Suddenly, the man realized
that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for
an early morning business flight.

Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he
wrote on a piece of paper, "Please wake me at 5:00 AM." He left it
where he knew she would find it.

The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00
AM and he had missed his flight. Furious, he was about to go and see
why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by
the bed. The paper said, "It is 5:00 AM. Wake up."

Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests.

(..... I'm sure those of us that are married, can all appreciate the humour)....LOL

Hi, I am a 24 yr old guy with lust problem. Since 16, I have always been highly interested in opposite sex. But as a Christian, and due to personal belief, I decided to save virginity till marriage.
Due to high hormone level and high interests in sexuality, I had to find some outlets to release tensions and hormones besides sex. Then I found porn/masturbation which addressed it. At the time, I saw nothing harmful about porn/mb and thought it was all normal thing to do, especially for a teenage guy like me.
About 2 yrs ago, I finally started to feel harmful effect of porn. I would have hard time controlling myself from porn. I also fantasize a lot about sex scenes and hot women I saw from porn videos. My brain has become so sexualized that I think about sex a lot.
Some say this is all normal because most guys think about sex every 10 seconds. But I feel this is wrong. This goes against my belief, moral values deep inside my heart.
How can I gradually reduce sexual thoughts?
