I think some people may realize that they truly are out of cont role at that point. They want to have peace with God, and perhaps leave their family behind with hope as well. Then there are others who have walked closed to God all of their lives and they understand Him. They may have even known just a little a head of time when they would be called home. Others may be screaming for mercy when they realize the preachers in their life was correct. I want to be like the second group. In that I don't have to introduce myself at such a critical hour.

Many know who God is but deny Him in Life. When death is near they realize there denial has them bound for the fiery depth of Hell. Some truly repent and trust in the Lord for salvation others are just grasping for something to hold on to when facing death.

Some say it is never too late but that isn't entirely true, if you die with Christ it is eternally too late.

Are you a good person who doesn't deserve Hell. I challenge you to take this test.

It may not be for their physical well being that they're asking the help for, but for forgiveness. Perhaps even for the strength to let go of this life, and move forward.

The people that may have been hurt, in many fashions, by this person, may also have forgiven him/her. We shouldn't hold a grudge. We are able to forgive, just sometimes we're not able to forget.

well the reasons are various, so you can't just say one is it. but many know it is G-D WHO is sentenced them to death, and their are many who don't this for sure, or at all.

some are praying for G-D to help them through this traumatic period. some are praying to ask for G-D for all the offenses they are sure they have commited. and some do just because of all the uncertainty, and some are doing this just to make themselves feel better. and some are hoping G-D will intervene and change His Mind about their dying right now. or many are praying, in hopes of not being sent to the other place or just to get stuff off of their chest, and get rid of unecessary baggage. or any combination of any of these things. there were times in vietnam that some would pray as if they were going to die at time we were not in danger. and the next day, they were dead.

A just parent is a good parent. An unjust parent is a cruel parent. Do you agree?

I think that parents should be parents. Parents are at a higher level than their children, and should be. Unhappily, they do not know their responsibility, to grow children. Heck, neither do I. I was divorced. Sorry, I do and all my kids tell me I was right.

But, you are right. Too many people try to control, when they should allow, people to be people.

Fear of punishment. This calling for God's help is a grace from God. Some do not call on the name of the Lord. Each of us have killed Jesus so we can't play the Holier than thou thing.

All people will see God and in the last seconds of life, will they see God as he beckon's them to come.
That is one proof of God. Every living person, believers and non-believers will see God and accept the fact that He is there. I firmly believe this. All People Call Out For GOD !! Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and Thou Shalt Be Saved !

Maybe because what they were blind to previously, has become a clear picture now.
I personally find it humorous the people who preach all their lives saying God isn't real, then on their death bed pray for forgivness.
