I met a great guy and we got engaged. We are both divorced. I have been divorced for three years and he has been divorced for one. I have no children he has two. The problem is we are both Catholic which doesn't believe in divorce and to remarry you must have your marriage annulled. My annulment will be done in about 8 months his 2 years. There is never a guarntee that his annulment will even be granted but we are almost certain it will. The thing is we don't want to wait and he who has a strong Catholic Network is being shunned by his friends and even his father. We don't want to wait to get married we are IN-Love and just want to grow old together...maybe later our marriage can be blessed by the church. What do you guys think??

Or possibly any airplane journey? Really - you're in a pressurized tube 35,000 feet up in the air. Will you punch your way through the fuselage or wait until the plane has safely come to a standstill at your destination before removing your seatbelt?

No need to tell me that the Rapture isn't in scripture, thanks. I know that.

I have an example that I just love that he showed me.... A telephone pole. A large wooden cross that conveys POWER through it we receive LIGHT but, what really got me is when he directed my sight to the crosspiece to where we affix something that we call a TRANSFORMER. On every block in our cities he is reminding us and we don't even see it.

First of all, I believe that whatever floats your boat and what works for you is what works for you. However, this is my theory:
1) religious person ~ goes to church to PRACTICE A PARTICULAR FAITH
2) spiritual person ~ lives with the spirit within them 24/7
(religion & spiritual can be combined)
3) religious fanatic~ my way or no way! My religion or no religion! I don't care for people who try to FORCE religion down anyone's throat! It is an individual's choice if they choose to or not!
WHAT REALLY MATTERS IS HOW YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE, PERIOD!
any other interpretations????

we see dark clouds and infer rain. We hear the door slam and infer someone has arrived. We see a frowning face and infer the person is angry. Our friend is late and we infer she is being inconsiderate. This sounds simple to me, but apparently there's alot of people that just dont get it, my questions is.....the root of an argument sometimes is just plain miscommunication, and whey miscommunication occurs? well i think because sometimes people just dont have COMMON SENSE....is the lack of common sense the root of all arguments?

This is a straight question. I do not want to get into a Da Vinci Code controversy.

"Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

So the Lord said, 'I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I an sorry that I have made them.' " - Genesis 6:5-7

I don't understand why He would feel sorry for what He did.

Furthermore, there was no mention of sea creatures being killed nor being saved on the arc. Were they spared? Why?

If I receive thumbs down, I'll know there are people who would rather rate it as bad before attempting to answer the question.

I'm just trying to clarify on these matters. It's an honest question.

and live through his rules just to find meaning in your own life? Doesn't it sicken you to be a clone of religion, a follower, a person with no thoughts of their own, only the thoughts that have been told to you? Are you not just a pawn, a sheep being led to the slaughter, a sinner in angels costume, looking for a meaning because life is to hard for you without the prospect of a greater being? It is sad, isn't it, that you must live a life through someone else, and not yourself?

Pretty self-explanatory. General tactics and strategy for global supremacy. How do my fellow atheists and agnostics believe we should go about it? Best answer goes to most feasable approach. I already have an idea, but want to see what others come up with.

It also states that god is spirit and eternal.
Why would a logical god make man in human form and not spirit form???
Your bible makes no sense. Its a gibberish.
I find it interesting that your god would add its name to another religion;namely the Jewish religion.
You christians must know the truth.
Man has made your bible.
Do some homework and google the Q-texts.
Christians never cease to amaze me how ignorance begets ignorance.
Do you really believe in the trinity?
Everything is made up in your bible.
It irritates me that every hotel has the bible in every room.
How would you feel if the Satanic bible was in every hotel room?
You Christians would be protesting all day long.
So why then must I see a bible in every hotel room.
It should be against the law to put bibles in every hotel.
Someone must inform Congress of this nightmare.
Christianity is the only religion that breeds stupidity.
Please,no insults,I demand respect!

That "born again" question got me thinking about this.

Again.

Could born again mean physically dying? Entering the spirit world?
It looks like Jesus is differentiating between the human (water) being and the spiritual being.

If that's the case, entering into the spirit world without the protection and intervention of the Holy Spirit within us, we couldn't stand a chance against Satan.

That would explain God's word constantly urging us to accept Christ BEFORE we die.

Any thoughts?

I have read and recited that verse many times in my lifetime; but recently a co-worker of mine told me that my concerns about having good days and bad days (or are they good MOMENTS and bad MOMENTS in the same day), mean nothing because THE LORD has made the day....I DID NOT!! I never thought about the verse like that ~ and it truly opened my eyes. THIS is the LORD'S day and HIS CREATION....do you agree???
