That "born again" question got me thinking about this.

Again.

Could born again mean physically dying? Entering the spirit world?
It looks like Jesus is differentiating between the human (water) being and the spiritual being.

If that's the case, entering into the spirit world without the protection and intervention of the Holy Spirit within us, we couldn't stand a chance against Satan.

That would explain God's word constantly urging us to accept Christ BEFORE we die.

Any thoughts?

wow i was thinking the same thing just now ...
i have always felt this was the true meaning of being born again , but that question brought the thought back for me
although i dont believe in satan or needing protection ... i did feel that when Jesus said these words , he was speaking about being born again in spirit

Born again means born of the spirit. The bible says, for example, when we are born again, the old man is gone and we are a new creation in Christ. It's merely a figure of speech.

The bible says you should be born once of water and once of blood..
