The spirit of my mothers mother is very close to me. I felt her touch my hand once while writing a letter to mend feelings with My mother!

My father died when I was 15. When I graduated from high school, I hadn't really given any thought to him being present. The night before my graduation, I had a very calm dream where he was sitting with my mother in the parents section down to the specific row and seat. I had told my mother to seat in the bleachers because the view was better and because the dream seemed so real. When I marched out, my mother was sitting in that specific place which was beside an empty chair drapped for a boy who died right before graduation. (The teachers decided to do the chair, the class did not know.) A warm feeling washed over me and I knew my father had attended my graduation. This is the strongest I have ever felt his presence.

I've dreamt about my relatives that have passed many times. It has solidified my belief in an afterlife. Some people would say that it's my subconscious just wishing these dreams to see those loved ones one more time. But, this reasoning could not be true in every case. I've been "visited" by other relatives I hardly knew and even one person that I didn't even like (but the dream was a positive one). I've also sensed their presence at various times....during a memorable song, or at weddings, funerals, etc. I believe they still share the important events with us even after they pass....they stay connected even though they aren't physically here. And, I agree with you, it's very peaceful and comforting.
