It's a pretty slick plot. Let's drum up a bunch of hatred and divide the American people as much as possible, right.

I blame the fundies. They've been preaching hatred for anyone different than themselves.

WHERE IS THE LOVE THAT JESUS TAUGHT???

Protestants are able to get divorced according to their beliefs, but Catholics aren't. Christians are led to be intolerant. We believe in a defenite right and wrong. We believe in discernment. We have all these beliefs that cannot be changed and people that aren't Christians don't respect us because we're intolerant. I'm able to offend people if I'm sure of what I believe in and I don't respect people who don't stand up for their beliefs. For example, I'm intolerant of gays and lesbians and I disrespect their beliefs, but I don't hate them. People don't respect that the Bible has shaped my views on political subjects, not society. Any comments?

I keep hearing about a Holly war against Satin, and various such things. I decided to see for myself, so I bought a beautiful satin shirt down at Chez Bruce, and went for a walk in the park. I met a lot of unusually friendly guys along the way. When I got to the botanical gardens I went over to the holly exhibit. I usually stay away from the holly because that's where the feral hogs like to hide and they can be real nasty. They love to use alternative interrogation methods which are very painful. Anyhow, I went into the holly patch, and almost immediately my new shirt was snagged by holly leaves. Those things can be really sharp. As I feared, about half way across the holly patch I was set upon by enraged hogs. They were in an evil mood, something to do with an election scheme gone haywire. I ran for it, and by the time I got out of there I had proof of the holly war against satin. My new shirt was in tatters. Anybody else have a similar experience?

I don't know about the rest of you atheists etc, but I find it strange when Christians urge us to 'read the Bible' and try to 'find God'. Did everyone else go to a school which didn't have religious education?
In my past, Christianity was rammed down my throat daily. Prayers, hymns, lessons, worshipping, adoring, Easter, Christmas - it was impossible to grow up in this country without being introduced to Christianity.
So when I get accused of 'insulting God' for not believing in 'Him', I think of all those years I spent blindly learning an illogical and outdated belief system written by a machiavellian force from a drug-ridden, war-torn 'Holy Land'. If there is any insulting going on it is to our intelligence.
Yes, I think we've all been introduced, but some of us saw through it.
Do Christians think they're onto a secret society, or something?

and many other supposed Christian holidays?

Now, without calling me names, or condemning me, or witnessing, or telling me it doesn't matter, tell me, what are the origins of Christmas?

Any pagans or infildels want to help them out -go right ahead.

In real life I work for an accounting office and lately I'm coming across numbers like 666.09 or 266.63 those are just examples but I have come across them tho. In my dream I came across the number 66664 I believe. Should I be worried? or take this into consideration? I am Catholic btw.

To summarize it, the Book of Mormon teaches as historical fact that the Indian tribes in the Americas are descendents of Israelites who came across the Atlantic mainly about 600 BC. BUT... studies of 150 plus Indian tribes' DNA has revealed a total lack of any Semite (Israelite) genetic markers in the Indians in the Americas. In the same token DNA DOES comfirm the Bible history, but not the Book of Mormon, Why not ?

“But you will exceed all of them. For you will sacrifice the man that clothes me."
this is what jesus said to judas (as written in gospel of judas recently found)....

now according to our islamic belief Jesus was not killed but he was raised to heaven by Allah and then Allah changed the appearence of one of the soldiers of the King like jesus ......

Every body thought that he was jesus but only judas knew that he was not ....

judas Took the blame on His head for jesus death... people thought judas betrayed jesus while judas had actually kept a secret ....

What do you all people think about this whole Judas gospel fact and how do you percieve that sentence of jesus written in Gospel of Judas.....

Would you perfer that children be taken away from their parents or have the parents never tell their children about religion untill they are able to make a decision for themselves?

Would a policy like make the god vs. no-god debate fair and equal?

Or would stiffling and muzzling people from talking about the possibility of a creator and a God actually be an implied support for atheism and thus indoctrinating children to be atheists?

Christians claim that Thomas Paine recanted his beliefs. So, I have decided to look into this issue, to see if it is correct. Could anyone give me a website hat has the story of Thomas Paine's recanting? Thanks!!!

We cant prove there is one right? We cant disprove that their isnt one. So why isnt it just easier to say that none of us really know.
And the only way to make a seperation of what is true is by what it is you choose to believe. And that dont mean that your choices are going to lead you to heaven or to hell. What do you think about that? Oh no then that would mean that no one is wrong, and we would not have superiority over one another in believing so. That would mean we were equals. Is this only concept? I dont know I ask you?
