This is pretty strange how it worked out even if you are not religious, you should read this
What is the shortest chapter in the Bible?
Psalm 117
What is the longest chapter in the Bible?
Psalm 119
Which chapter is in the centre of the Bible?
Psalm 118
Facts- There are 594 chapters before Psalm 118 and there are 594 chapters after Psalm 118
Add these two numbers together and you get 1188
What is the centre verse in the Bible
Psalm 118.8
Does this verse say something signifiant about God's perfect will for our lives?
Psalm118.8 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
Now isn't that odd how this worked out........or was God in the centre of it?

When reading and answering questions in this section. Sometimes I find it difficult to not be angered or hurt. I try to talk from my heart and what I know. Day after day I hear we are uneducated, we brainwash our children, we are partly to blame for war, we are generalized (as are alot of cultures) all because of beliefs. It's tiring. Anybody have any encouraging thoughts? Perhaps pertaining to witnessing on this site? Or anything else? Thank you and God bless.

I was wondering about certain denominations of Christianity. I do not know very much about them. I have heard some do not allow music or dancing at weddings or parties. Or you can't drink alcohol. There are rules as to how to dress. I don't know which these are. Pentecostals, Born again, Jehovah's Witness, Any information on any of these or a place I could find information on them would be appreciated. I am looking for serious answers because I believe in God and Jesus. (and the holy ghost!) Also what is meant to witness to someone?

Like, if you sold your soul, or lost it. What would be the consequences of not having a soul? What would happen? Would you die? Would you be immortal? Etc.

...God exists, either than the Bible and the Church or Prophets saying "...well of course God exists, you DUMBASS!" If God truly existed, then why doesn't he tell us personally when we ask ourselves?
...If you answer: "...God DOES exist..." ~or~ "...believe in Him..." ~or~ "...why don't you believe you SATANIC DUMP...", then don't bother answering!

When God thinks, he thinks kids, all he ever wanted was a family.

The Souls of people are the thoughts of God.

When God breathes into his thoughts they become spirits, and God is Spirit, God sends them on their way, to be born and become a redeem person.

When God breathes things start living, God inhales life comes back to him.

Seriously think about it, And some feed back of thought?

I have stigmata. All 6. Identical marks on the hands and feet in the correct postion where the nails went in, birth mark for the spear position and a 97 stitch scar mark where the crown of thorns should sit. They all happened by accident, at different times, I was not paranoid with four, until I was a side saddle passenger on a motor bike in Thailand, had an accident and a metal bar went through both my feet in the same position. Now I am seriously spooked. Am i scitzo or just over worried.
P.S. I come from Ireland: A land where over 80,000 people turned up to pray at a miracle site when some prankster moved a statue of Mary, Jesus's mother and the government spent $8,000,000 to re-route a road so it wouldnt disturb the Fairy people. I think this might just blow their mind!!
P.P.S. they are not currently bleeding except for the right foot which was agrivated by wearing a shoe that was too small.
P.P.S. Does anyone know of anything like this happening to anyone?

i mean... if we are "sons of god" then it should be ok for us to have him as role model, follow his steps and mature as a specie and grow up like every son does and why not? even become greater than him...

i mean... isn't that what a father expects from his son?? to acheive more things that the father did in his life? then why do people say that its wrong for humans to try to achieve the things only god can do? i think god should be proud of we humans following his steps, i think he would pe proud if he see we can also do what he do. am i right?

(pls, if you say no, at least say why not)

because you love the Lord and you know they do not? I mean you love them because they are your children but, you hate them because they do not love the Lord.

If there was such a thing as big bang then

why do people all have different fingerprints?

why are we not still evolving?

how did everthing know when to stop evolving?

And why are there different planets in the universe, they must have a function, or why else are there so many?

Here in the UK the Church of England is still nominally the established Church, and has a certain amount of influence in government. Moreover, the Queen is officially 'Defender of the Faith'. Despite all that, hardly anyone goes to church and most people are atheists in all but name. By contrast, the US is a nominally secular country, with (officially at least) separation of church and state, but seems to be still quite highly religious.

Can anyone explain why this is?

Ok, I'm interested in going to a pentecostal church. I believe that there is one God. Also believe that to be saved that you have to be baptized in Jesus name and recieve the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. I get the whole girls do not cut their hair, and that the girls also dress like ladies. Wearing skirts, never pants or shorts.

I jut started this church and like so i would feel all weird asking questions. I want to know:

Is it true that men cannot wear t-shirts? I wanna know whether the girls can wear nylons, whatever else they can and cannot wear? alos what holidays are and are not celebrated? What sunday services are like? I just wanna know and to have some knowledge of it before diving into it. If anyone can help me please do so. Thanks!

I'm really curious if this is the norm or just a fluke. But a few years ago at my great-grandma's funeral, the officiant spent 20-30 mins of the memorial service giving a sermon on procreation and how it was sinful, nothng else. I was the only one who found this to be very odd. True, she had several children as was common back then. But it seemed really bizarre and out of place, yet no one else questioned it. Is that the norm for a funeral sermon (she was a devout Baptist but I'm not sure if/how that even applies) or was this minister totally off his rocker?
