I mean, I thought people were supposed to build upon tolerance, love and compromise. Why is there so much segregation, boundaries, and aggression over religions that are supposed to teach love and understanding? Is it caused by the notion that 'im right, you're wrong, believe in what i believe or suffer eternally?'...how is that loving or peaceful? That's a threat and command, not a choice of tolerant free-will.

I am not a Christian, but I have studied the values and beliefs of various religions/cultures. I was just wondering (directed to the Christians), if you can advocate the obedience of all the doctrines of the bible, what do you think of the doctrine that womyn are property and inferior to men. Do you believe that a womyn is created for the carrying of offspring and servicing of men (and could this be connected to attempts to deny abortion rights)? Justify your postions. I'm insatiably curious.
Thanks in advance

Why then would (He) condemn the vast majority of his 'most beloved' creations to eternal hell for nothing more than not believing in something which ultimately cannot be shown to be true on any level?

Some of the benefits are clarity of thinking, providing a person with much Patience, reducing much stress, it improves concentration and memory, it also greatly improves cognitive thinking, improves listening skills, reduces worry, helps one successful deal with pain and fears face to face, improves endurance, improves self image, helps one deal with anger properly(replacing it with patience), provides Peace of spirit, mind, and emotions. Mindfulness Meditation promotes self-discipline, selfcontrol, and a healthy positive self-image as well.
One who pratices Mindfulness Meditation realizes he or she is responsible for his or her own thought-life, words he speaks, and actions/behaviour As well as his own destiny.
He chooses to practice lovingkindness, forgiveness toward oneself and all human beings, tolerance, and has successful relationships with others, especially because he has chosen not to be critical, and judgmental toward others. Are there any other benefits ?

If you don't say "to fleece the gullible sheep of every penny they own" then you're delusional.
Check out the multi million dollar churches and other centers dedicated to one purpose; taking money from the gullible and stupid.
Or have you never wondered why the collection plate is the most important thing in a church?

ever important?

Islam holds Jesus (Arabic: عيسى‎ `Īsā) to have been a messenger and a prophet of God and the Messiah (The concept of prophecy in Islam is broader than Judaism and Christianity since Muslims distinguish between "messengers" and "prophets". Unlike prophets, messengers are assured of success. All messengers are prophets but not vice versa) [1] According to the Qur'an, he was one of God's (Arabic Allah) most beloved messengers, a precursor to Muhammad, and was sent to guide the Children of Israel.

Most Muslims believe that Jesus is alive in Heaven, and will return to Earth to defeat the Dajjal (Antichrist).

People i know say that go to church weekly and believe in God and all that. But they smoke and drink everyday and curse. I just don't think it makes since. They say they are christians and all that. What is your opinion? This guy i work with told the managers he couldn't work on sundays because he has church. And he acts the way he does. He tells me he goes to church but he sure needs to act better.

Obviously religion is very personal to people, and whatever they might choose affects the rest of their lives. Even if you do have religious beliefs, don't you think it is a bit wrong to push yours on your children before they have gained the scholorly ability to research and choose for themselves?

Normally this wouldn't concern me, but with the world heading in the direction it is heading, the world needs all the people who think for themselves that we can get or the violence and hate will only spread further. I know that some who were raised in a religion eventually do research for themselves, but all too often religion is just passed down and people do not even bother to take a further look.

A parent's role is to teach children about the world around them. Teach them common morals that everyone should share, show them the opportunities availiable in the world, but thy do people push their religion onto their children?

you do not believe and respect the Creator?

Would you be careful and respectful if you stole the product or service you are using?

Wouldn't you be more careful and respectful if you actually bought the product or service? Because only then you'd know its value...Right?

wicca/witchcraft (they are the same thing to me) is a nature religion involving the worship of the horned god (not exactly sure who he is but I know its not satan) and a goddess.
Satan, hell and heaven ect have got nothing to do with wicca/witchcraft and are a christian invention. there is no such thing as a white or black wiccan/witch because nothing is 100% good or bad because it is a nature religion and in nature u have good things like flowers ect but u also have bad things like animals killing each other for food and hurricanes ect.
wiccans/witches love the earth and respect all kinds of nature including people.
if this info is correct then how come there are some people who still hate wiccans/witches? Is it because they are so used to the farietale type witches or is it because their religion tells them to hate wiccans/witches.
I have been a wiccan/ witch since the age of 12 and at 18 I still have a lot to learn!!!

Blessed be xXx

be kind when someone asks a spiritual or religious question or gives an answer that you disagree with? You get all riled because what someone else is saying goes against what you believe and in so doing the godliness you're trying so vehemently to defend becomes ungodliness to others by your anger and rudeness.

It doesn't have to be healing something really serious like cancer or heart disease. Just healing someone of a little bad habit would suffice. Looking for your testimonials. Not really looking for your opinion on your not believing in healing in this manner.

Copy and paste your answer into the other version of this question. You might win it. I was not really satisfied with the response so far. Use this link.

Have you ever healed someone by crying for them?

why is it that catholics still carry the tradition of infant baptism?? i mean its totally against the scriptures, jesus himself said to his disciples to go out to all the nations and teach them the good news of god, and then baptise them in the name of the father, the son, and the holy spirit. well hence infants can not be taught, so why does a catholic church go againt the scriptures and more or less make this mandatory for its members???...........and if you are answering as somebody whose catholic, please give scriptural proof for infant baptism, if you have any
