More important. If man was made from dirt, why is dirt not still turning into people?

The answer is in the old joke:
One day a group of Darwinian scientists got together and decided that man
had come a long way and no longer needed God. So they picked one Darwinian
to go and tell Him that they were done with Him.
The Darwinian walked up to God and said, "God, we've decided that we no
longer need you. We're to the point that we can clone people and do many
miraculous things, so why don't you just go on and get lost."
God listened very patiently and kindly to the man. After the Darwinian was
done talking, God said, "Very well, how about this? Let's say we have a
man-making contest." To which the Darwinian happily agreed.
God added, "Now, we're going to do this just like I did back in the old
days with Adam."
The Darwinian said, "Sure, no problem" and bent down and grabbed himself a
handful of dirt.
God looked at him and said, "No, no, no. You go get your own dirt!!!!"

In light of the ignorant evolution (though I still don't belive in evolution) questions, this is pretty funny :) - but to answer it seriously anyway, I woud say that it is to keep us from forgetting where we came from.
And God created man from the dirt- man did not evolve from the dirt.

haha yeah. Further, isn't it ironic that the reason many ancient peoples thought life came from dirt was because they found "semi-formed" fossils in dirt - the same things that many people who stick to the dirt hypothesis today, now insist were placed there by the devil to fool us...

another logical fallacy by an evolutionist.
you are responding to "if we came from apes why are there still apes".
The difference is, God didn't say dirt evolved INTO man. He says He formed us from it. AND that we will return to it, so if we will return to it, there must continue to be some. This is very scientific. We are carbon based beings, and when we die we desintegrate back into it. Modern science couldn't describe it more succinctly.
You say we evolved from apes. Why didn't all apes evolve then? Why not pigs? Why is there only ONE species to evolve into a logical being? Those are much better questions.

Guess I would have to say, why would there not be since you are made of the dust of the ground, dirt, and will return to it when you die.

I don't believe in creationism. But since you said "IF", The answer would be, because bodies created from earth, return to earth. That, and erosion.

I know why why there's still dirt. I know why there's people. I don't know why this is funny. Can you explain?
