Mav: I never said or implied that I was to get an answer from GOD on yahoo answers. I get very insightfull responses from people that make me think, and that is why asked a question like such. Peace!

And why do you speak in a third party? Do you still beat women over the head with clubs, drag them back to your hut, and have your way with them? lol Just joking, it was an impulse to say that. PEACE!

I said if you are "of" the GOD of abraham(pbuh). Not GOD per se. Basically, "if you believe in the lord GOD of israel(pbuh), can you answer this question?"

Dear Mitchell,

I believe that all three believe in the same God. Some people revere God so highly that they won't spell his name and will either put "God" in quotations, or leave out one of the letters, because they feel his name is so holy they cannot say it.

While another group will use the PBUH after the name because they believe that the ultimate peace stems from our heavenly father.

The final group, believes in a special relationship where we can worship, call him our father, and come to him with all of our problems.

While this simplifies the differences, I feel that we all believe in a wonderful heavenly deity who loves us all and hates the fact that we cannot agree on issues.

My hope is that God's peace will reign someday!

I wish I had a better understanding of all three myself. From my limited understanding (very limited of Islam), here is what I know.

They all believe in the same God. But it comes down to the role of the Savior/Messiah. Judaism beleives that the Messiah has not yet arrived to save the world; Christianity believes that the Messiah has arrived, atoned for the sins of mankind, and will come again to reclaim the world (both Christianity and Judaism follow the teachings of God through prophets); Islam also believes in the teachings of the prophets, and believes that Mohammoud was in essence the last true Prophet/Messiah, and there will be 27 additional false prophets (I think) before the end, when all the faithful will be taken up.

You can correct me on Islam. Sorry.

Judaism is the preceeding faith people followed untill Jesus Came to the remedy of sins of Human, Judaism and Christianity differes only when some one doesnt recognise Jesus Christ as the Saviour, son of God, Lord and their personal Saviour.

But Islam has no connection with the above two as Islam claims other deity the supereme being which is 100% contrary to the God of Judaism, and Christianity.

It doesnt mean Islam is same as the above faith since beause it mentiones most of the names and stories mentioned in the Bible. To know more read the bible with open mind and compare with quran you will come to know the truth.

Arguments and standing on some one's teaching will never lead you to heaven, but be frank minded and dont depend any one's teachings other then the only one unique and ancient book Bible.

Judaism: Main difference is that they believe that Jesus Christ was a false prophet at best. They reject that he was sent by God as the promised Messiah and they are still awaiting the Messiah as promised in the old testament.

Christianity: We believe that Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah and we accept and believe both the old and new testament in its entirity. We cannot and should not be grouped together with Catholics as they believe that they can add to and take away from Gods written word in the bible.

Islam: You believe that the bible is correct in some spots and incorrect in others. You believe that Ishmael was the chosen one. You also believe Jesus Christ was a great prophet, but yet you do not believe in all of his teachings. Jesus Christ stated that the only way to the father (God) was through the son (Jesus Christ) and you reject this very point blank teaching.

There is obviously much more, but these are the main points that you asked about.

The one thing that I find that many Muslim/Islam believe is that Christianity is the same as Catholic. I wish to tell you that it is not at all the same. While Catholics do believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, they believe as you do that other prophets are receiving visions and visits from God that change what the bible states, a big one being that they pray to Mary and other dead saints to get a prayer to Jesus, and that is not what Christians do. We go directly to the son (Jesus Christ) to pray to God. Our prayers end with In Jesus Christs name we pray.

In Judaism they believe the old covenant Law is still enforced and that is what they are saved by. they also believe that Jesus did not fulfill all the necessary prophecies found in the old testament.

In Christianity they believe that Jesus did fulfill the Law and that the Law is no longer enforced. They believe salvation is received by grace alone (works mean nothing) through faith in Jesus.

In Islam they believe they are of the same God as Jews and Christians but reject the Trinity and believe Jesus was simply a prophet - rejecting the New Testament. they also believe that they are saved by their good deeds

The difference, ready.

Judaism = Destiny of God

Christianity = Choice of God

Islam = Surrender to God

Mav think you are confused if you think the God of Abraham is going to answer you on this forum.

(the PBUH gave us a clue that you were Islamic)

first you must realize that denominational differences were not taught from the Scriptures themselves - these are opinions of man that have caused divisions all the while belief in a higher being ...... God/the Trinity

The bible teaches us that there is only one way to God, and thats threw Jesus. Judaism doesnt believe in Jesus, Islam believes in Mohammed, Christianity believe Jesus to be the only way to God.

Judaism and Islam do not believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah.

Any other differences are meaningless.
