Galatians3:5-14.Christ has rescued us from the Law, not to abolish the Law. This shows us the utmost Faith in Christ saves us. The Law was created for the lawless. If you think following the Law alone will save you, then your seriously mistaken. So read your Bible before you judge or make unknowing false statements to God's children.

Also I am not aiming this question at Christians, they will know what I am saying. I am aiming it at those who keep asking questions regarding the ten commandments, SO THOSE SEARCHING FOR THE TRUTH CAN ESTABLISH FOLLOWING RULES ALONE WILL NOT SAVE THEM. I also am not saying DO NOT follow the rules. I'm simply stating, when you are born again with Christ you will WANT to follow the Law naturally. And for those who do not care about God obviously they must care or they would not be in the religion site SEARCHING for answers.

Keeping the Law will not save us; we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. However, we keep the Law BECAUSE we are saved! Being saved does not excuse you from keeping the 10 Commandments. It's what separates a Christian from an atheist.

I don't think that will save you. Someone who has been a great person all their life: loving others as they would be loved, being a philanthropist and donating millions to world hunger: This man will not be saved.

Someone could be a convicted murder of 100 people, done every drug possible, broken every commandment and on his death bed find faith, belief, and forgiveness through Jesus Christ: This man will spend eternity in Heaven.

Just look at the thief next to Christ on the cross (the believer that is)

I'm Christian and I know what you're talking about, but I'll answer naturally... :) I have such a bond with Christ that now, whenever I lie, I literally repent within 5 minutes or I come out and say it was me if I was joking. I know now how important the 10 Commandments are, but also how important following all of God's rules, even the ones that are rarely mentioned in the Bible. God loves everyone and in the Bible, it says, even if you end up in Hell, God will still love you which is amazing and shows God's immense love for each one of us. Like the "law" to "not be unequally yoked..." Sometimes, you're compatible with a person, but they don't believe in God, so you try to lead them to Christ and so you break up with the person, but you continue to try to lead them to Christ. I've started to talk more about faith and I'm not so scared about my views being shot down because now, I KNOW WHAT I BELIEVE! Yes, first I went to church because my parents are Christian, but now, I go to church because I want to. I read the Bible because I want to and I need to. IT'S SIMPLY SOMETHING YOU SHOULD DO! To get into Heaven, you will not be judged based off of how many sins you have, but based off of how much you spread the world, etc. You've also got to repent! Those are my 2 cents! Peace to you and your family. God Bless.

Where would you like to keep it? In your wallet, on the wall of your house or in your garage? Christ saving us is a fallacy, you are the only one who can save yourself from your sins. Your righteousness as a righteous man will be credited to you and your wickedness as a wicked man shall be charge against you. Even if you keep on calling Jesus' name, it will not save you if you are wicked and do not reform. But if you do things the right way in the eyes of God, there is no need to call on Jesus. No favoritism applies to the real God.

Follow the ten commandments and the teachings of Christ and you're on the path to heaven. Live life as Christ would, go to church, and be a true Christian and you're almost there. Follow the examples of those like Mother Theresa and you will have it made.

If you follow the letter of the law to the fullest, Then Yes. But here the problem with that. NO ONE can, Yes that right NO ONE can. Only through JESUS the CHRIST can we be saved.

No! but not keeping it will also not save you. When you are saved you will want to keep God's commandments. Jesus saved the children of Israel out of bondage before they got the ten commandments and instructions on how to follow and obey God. But once they were saved they were now to keep the law. So we should keep it once we are saved.

correctly pointed out because it is the death of jesus which saved us from the fact that the 10 commandments were broken by just about everyone
and more to the point if you reguard those who were leaving egypt thier sin was not breaking a commandment but in the fact that they did not believe that God could save them

Exactly who is this aimed at? If it's to people who don't believe in the bible and make statements that Christians believe to be false... then you're not going to convince them to do anthing by quoting bible verses.

If it's to other Christians that you feel are not truly god's children; well I hate to burst your bubble, but they believe they're just as right as you believe you are... and they'll have their own bible verses to back them up.

Exactly. The Law is perfect, but we are not. Therefore when we break the Law, we are cursed and under the wrath of God. However, Jesus frees us from that curse.
Well done!
