Living with someone for more than ten years, makes you legally married I think... But if you really loved the person, it shouldnt HAVE to be documented for the world to know. Just show them.

Seriously consider moving to a new country. If that were not possible, take a "trip" to another country with my "love" and get married there, then go back home and either live with each other or date each other everyday. If none of these were options, then I'd die an old maid virgin.
Sorry never thought of the whole gay/lesbian thing. That's not even an option for me. I suppose if it were, I'd go straight to just waiting to die, and until then just live as normal a life as I could.
I just assumed it was something like a Muslim wanting to marry a Christian. Maybe it had to do with your spelling that caused me to think you were not from America but trying to ask an English question.

Wow, that's a tough one. If we're talking gay marriage, then I don't know where it is allowed legally, but you can have a committment ceremony. Just because you can't get married, doesn't make it any less beautiful or wonderful.

i have to live with the person that i love.
marriage has become "a means of receiving government protected entitlements." That is what the neocons have made it by fighting to keep marriage "safe" by their demented definition.

It would break my heart. I have so many friends in this situation and they are dismal about it. It just isn't fair...
