I think it's the end of the world because Harry Harbaugh told me it was.
He also told me he likes to watch overweight samoans fight over ham sandwiches.

The name "San Francisco" clearly endorses Catholicism.

So does every city name containing "San," "Santa," etc., or cities like "Corpus Cristi" (meaning "the body of Christ").

And what about religion-derived street names? Geez. There must be thousands.

Pennsylvania was named for William Penn, a Quaker. That state's name clearly endorses religion.

Holy cow, we're practically a theocracy! Why are you militant atheists allowing the government to endorse religion like this???

I want to know what people view God, like a guy, white hair, or something different, and if at all. I already have my opinion just interested. And also, Do you believe he approves of religion? In my opinion, I think religion has caused alot of pain and things God doesnt want. I also think its done alot of good things as well, given hope to people, so on. But maybe we are not ready to use religion wisely, you know, use God in the wrong way. Would the World be better off without organized religion and only with personal beliefs? Or is it the way it is now the best way?

I question this form of television. Why is it that Christianity and some other form of religion can be broadcast on American television while not others? I thought this country was all about freedom of religion? What if I wanted to watch a sermon that deals with Judism or to the extreme, Satanism? Come on, now. This is getting ridiculous. Your thoughts.

Is it because you truely want that person grow closer to God, without you defining what that should look like?
Or is it that you are asking God to make them see things your way?

I simple question to you all. Have any of you ever been reported? Cause, personally, I don't think it's just Atheists being reported on this site. Ok, I know it's not because I've been reported.

So, how many of those who believe in a higher power (any higher power, be it God, Allah, Buddah or the FSM) been reported for sharing your views?

yes, i know I already posted this question this morning....but i added some details that i wanted you all to read and respond to. NO JUDGEMENT HERE...just simply looking for your responses/point of view...thanks!

the reason i ask this, is because last night i was watching this program on north korea, and how people there are sent to prison camps for professing their faith, they said there are over 300,000 believers in camps TODAY becuase of who they choose to worship. Anyways, the story was this lady was in there and as she was being hit and kicked and beaten, she said she felt the presence of Jesus and she felt her body lift up in the air. she said she could even see her body below her being beaten but didnt feel any pain. she knew that she was going to be tortured, and the other prisoners prayed for her, and she said that she knows that the power of prayer that day saved her life.

What I'm trying to say is this. For my birthday when I turned 11, I got a devotional book. This helped me get into my devotions and I started reading the Bible. That summer, I went to a church camp and got a prayer journal, so I used that. (And still do) This continued for about a year. Often and on, there were times when I wouldn't do it for days, weeks, and even months. Then there were the times when I felt like I couldn't live a day without reading the Bible. Now it's November, I'm 12, and haven't my devotions for a long time. I know keeping a relationship with Jesus is crucial for being Christian, but I can't seem to enjoy doing my devotions anymore. If anyone has any ideas of how the Bible, devotions, or praying can seem more exciting, please let me know. Thanks.

I am agnostic/atheist, and athough I find it hard to beleive there is a 'god' I am open to the idea of a creator just not an omnipresent being.

If a person who is without god, yet lives by all the principals of the bible and doesn't sin go to hell? And if a person who commits every sin in the bible and lives their life without a care or regard for any human being yet is a believer and asks god for forgivness, go to heaven?

If you were a theist at one time, was there one thing that brought you to atheism or a combination of things?

I don't remember ever believing in God, even though I went to church and Sunday school.

I expect this question to be deleted for "chatting", but that's OK, I'd still like to hear your answers.

Prior to 1978, Mormon leaders forbid Blacks from holding the Mormon Priesthood. In 1978, due to mounting pressure from pending lawsuits concerning racism, Spencer W. Kimball suddenly received a revelation that Blacks could now enter the temple and hold the Mormon Priesthood. If the Mormon Church had not changed its views on Black people, it would have lost its Tax-Exempt 503(c) status - as pending litigation in several states in America was proceeding.

In other words, if I believe one thing along with a great multitude of people should I be looked upon as being just a reflection as all the others?

Are we all not unique individuals with individual actions apart from everyone else?

These are some responses of my private school Kindergarten class. When I asked them: What would you say to or ask God?

1) How did you get up there?
2) What do you look like?
3) Can I have another sister?
4) Do I really have to be quiet in church?
5) Do you have any money?
6) Is there ice cream in heaven?
7) Hi
8) What are you doing today?
9) How do you make snow?
10) Why do you let us puke?

But yet they cannot even spell grade school English words? Why do some people have a problem with others beliefs, and are so quick to come on and insult? (In a religion site if I may add.) What the fight rooms filled? MTV off the air today? Mall closed? Satanic worship hall shut down? So what we have a problem with religion, and God and Jesus, and the Jehovahs Witness' and Allah, and Wiccan, and Pagan, and Kirshna(sorry if I left out any) so we come to THERE site and INSULT them. Now that is priceless. Leave everyone to there own religion, just ask your questions, and let peace be with everyone. No matter who there God is, most here have genuine questions.
