I want to know what people view God, like a guy, white hair, or something different, and if at all. I already have my opinion just interested. And also, Do you believe he approves of religion? In my opinion, I think religion has caused alot of pain and things God doesnt want. I also think its done alot of good things as well, given hope to people, so on. But maybe we are not ready to use religion wisely, you know, use God in the wrong way. Would the World be better off without organized religion and only with personal beliefs? Or is it the way it is now the best way?

Okay you have all given great answers. this is what I think.
Right now, Im not sure I believe in God. Well, the God most people are used to. I view him differently (this is why I posed the question "how do you visualize God, IF applicable".
The Bible mentions to go to heaven, one shall walk with God, and take God's path. I believe God, in essence, IS the path. The Bible says God is the path, but most people take that to be an abstract example. I believe God is The path, the way.
For example, I believe animals follow the way. thus they follow God. can we say animals are sinners? I dont really think so. I believe heaven is happiness. peace.
When you walk with God you get to heaven. in other words, when you Follow the way, you find happiness, peace, self-fullfilment.
so you might ask, what IS the way? well, this is why every human being is a sinner, because it is very hard to follow the path completely. Jesus is the one person who followed the path completely, thus he is Lord, Christ.

this is a really good question...i just sat here for 5minuts, thinking about this....theres is a song that comes to mind. though i cant remember the name of the song, part of it says "hes got fire in his eyes, and a sword in his hand, and hes riding a white horse, all acrossed this land.....hes asking you and me will you ride with me......(will you ride) i think maybe the song. i think that's how i see God......as for organized religion, I'm not sure if religion is organized..churches are. i no I'm not a religious person, i only want to be Christ like(christian)and i do not belong the any religion. i go to church, because Jesus say to. Now would the world be better off w/o religion, there are some good things in every religion, and those things are being taught. where do your personal beliefs come from, from the religion you were brought up in. that is where it starts i believe, i do however believe, God wants us to do whats right, religious or not.

Religion, as such, is not that important. In the Bible God speaks of His Bride which IS the church. No distinction is made, as far as I know, as to what type of church or religion. When He mentions Church, He isn't talking about a building but the people that believe in Him. I think He approves of "organized religion". Without it, there would be no "church". He wants us to come together, worship and support each other.
My personal feeling about "religion" is that most all of them have the same basic belief and that is that there is a God. ALL the church convenants have NO bearing on anything. The ONLY thing that matters is to believe in God.
ALL other religions that worship some common dead person, that wrote a book, will have a rude awakening one day. Thats just the way it is. Good luck. Pops

I always think back to Isaiah's vision of the LORD in Isaiah 6:1-7. It doesn't say what He looks like, but describes the Seraphim and that His robe, or the train of His robe, fills the temple. I think God is holding male characteristics in His person, but is likely neither male nor female in gender because he doesn't personally procreate. The conception of Jesus was a spirit conception, Jesus had entirely Marys DNA and entirely Gods character. Your other questions about religion are too many to answer in entirety here. Over all I'd say we've put God in a box and named it something or other denomination, added our own rules and ideas and basically messed up alot of things that should have been left alone.

Our Homes as well as our churches need to be organized.Without vision the people will perish. But to many rules and ordinances quench the Spirit and that is what forms religion.God is not happy with people putting their faith in religion and doctrines of men.Doctrines are to help us maintain our walk with God,and keep a unity amongst one another, but when doctrines become our salvation we are in trouble in the worst way.We can never do enough works to be saved. As for what God Looks like,He is awesome. One look at Him will turn your hair white and your face so bright that you will have to cover it with a veil.Just ask Moses.Exodus 34:1-35

I think God does not approve of so many different denominations and man-made rules that don't come from the Bible. For example having to dress up to go to church is not something God really cares about. I think he just wants us to love him with all our hearts, mind, and soul and love our neighbor as we love ourselves. All the 10 commandments and everything he wants us to do falls under those 2 things.

I personally view God as an omnipotent force with a will of its own, existing outside of time. As for religion, are you referring to religion as what it is, or how people are influenced by it? I believe that he approves of the first one, but not the second.

i view God like the sun
a beautiful bright energy that gives of sparks of light
we are those sparks
i think God would approve of religion only if those religious people are respectful and tollerant of others
only if that religion teaches unconditional love
i believe also that he would understand why someone would not wish to be religious or had trouble even believing in him ..
as he himself ( or herself ) would be unconditionally loving
