i think most mean well and think they're trying to save someone from 'eternal damnation', beloved buttercup, but just don't realize how offensive it is for a non-believer to hear "i'll pray for you"

That would depend. If someone is going through a difficult time, it is the natural response of a Christian to pray for that person. If a person is searching, once again a Christian would pray for them. If the person is just being mean spirited, a Christian would pray asking that the person's heart would be softened and would see the hurt they are causing, hopefully making a difference in that person's life. I pray for just about everyone - but I don't always tell them I am. I do it out of love, and for no other motive.

I consider it's first-rate, regardless that I do not relatively care what they do. I'm certain they imply good, however I do not discover it presumptuous as we have now simply had a theoglogical dialogue and comprehend my perspectives. And... no longer certain what you imply through rejoinder. Don't sacrifice the goat except you propose on utilizing the beef for meals.

Good verse Chippy-
I want others to know the Love of Jesus Christ- to see how we need forgiveness of sin- and redemption through Jesus- to know of his great love! I do not wish Hell upon anyone....I pray the Lord will open their eyes so that they can see the truth of God- not to agree with me- but to humble themselves in the sight of the Lord because I want God to have the glory! God deserves all the glory~

Generally, if they show a lot of hate, I pray that they feel the pressence of God and grow to love instead. OTherwise, I don't pray for them. I have nothing against tolerant people.

I pray to help people. I pray for them to find God to be happy and feel what life is all about.
I also know GOD LOVES it when people pray for other people and I always want him to be proud/happy of me.
And having people see it my way, would be of God's way, so I guess that is correct. My way, I wish and hope is God's way.

I think Chippy had the right verse, I think most say that to feel "superior" and righteous.
Personally, I rarely pray for people, I usually pray with them. If I do pray for them, I don't tell them. I just never saw the point lol

Actually, if they are spared an eternity in hell because of your prayer, it is most likely that you are right and they realized that, therefore both are motivations for me. After all, one has to happen before the other. Now then, see if you can find a flaw in my logic. I intentionally left it in there for you to find. Email me if you find it. Or don't. It's really up to you.

it is not my way that I'm concerned about, Christ is the way, the truth and light..when you become a believer in this and your filled w/ the Holy spirit, you see people and their souls. if you are not a believer than you have no idea what I'm talking about....It is LOVE..
for another human being.....i love then someone tells me that they are praying for me to be closer to God.....God bless you

as a Christian, I would hope that all people would come to know God and have eternal life so that's why I pray for those who say they don't know God.

I don't pray for Non-believers because I know that if they are kind and loving. They live good honest lives. They will know God irregardless of faith or lack thereof.
