God did not put them there, man did- God allowed it.
Personally, regardless of who is in office, Christians are to obey the word of God, respect the authority that is in the office of government and pray. Who is in office is still no excuse for immorality- Each pperson makes their choices and each person will be accountable for those choices- right or wrong.

The election represented the will of the voters. The Democrats now have the opportunity to right some wrongs. But if they fail, the Republicans will come back in two years and use those failures to regain the majority and keep the White House.

As for Bush resigning. I wouldn't count on it. As much as I would like to see him gone, I don't think Vice President Cheney would do a better job. The country will just have to wait two years. Let's hope the Democrats find a candidate who can win.

You obviously lack an understanding of God. We were placed in this world with free agency, and accordingly we are free to make decisions, like who to put in office without the help of God. That does not mean that God will not provide guidance to those who seek it as to who the best candidate is. Based on this past election, we see it is the moderates and independants who voted Democrat, and it just happens that many of those are religious people (along with the Democrats they elected). So, I wouldn't say that God made what happen occur, but rather enabled the people to vote the way they did.

For the record, I'm an independant.

I think that it was the religious right that lost faith in Republican leadership. it's too bad that we couldn't vote to remove Bush from office!

G-d had nothing to do with it. G-d gave us the earth and life. He gave us brains to work with. Now it is time that we started doing our share to perfect things. This is all the result of our using those brains.
