Are they being hypocrites

cannot celebrate birthdays, but they can celebrate wedding anniversaries? A birthday is nothing more than an anniversary of a special event. Although the Watchtower does not observe birthdays, they are allowed the celebration of wedding anniversaries which is the celebration of the birth of a marriage. The Watchtower Society also had no problems with celebrating their own 100th anniversary of the birth of their Watchtower magazine.(1979) Let's imagine in this case that the Watchtower Society is correct. If God (Jehovah) destroys people for celebrating the anniversary of their birth, would not the same god destroy people for celebrating the anniversary of one's marriage? And as for the men in these biblical references, they commited evil acts, the actual birthday celebration wasn't evil. None of these biblical accounts suggest that these men committed evil because of the birthday celebration. Are these reasons worthy of depriving children of their special day?

How does abortion destroy and disreapect these truths:
- we are not God (like we can't play the role of God and choose our death or someone else's)
- we have rights and responsiblities (God gave us the right to life)
- we posses freedom; we must use it responsibly (we are given free will, which can be used for good or evil)
-we image God best when we love one another ( as a communtiy, we must help the weak, such of a women thinking of abortion and help them)
Please choose 3 (or 4 if you'd like) and in your opinion, how does abortion destroy or disrespect these truths?
Thanks xoxo :) (religion assignment)

I want to make an alternative argument for Creationism or I.D. and I need the list of scientific discoveries that point to the Universe having a creator instead of the universe existing naturally and for itself rather than as an extension of any supernatural beings like gods, to explain its existence.

thanks in advance

Relgion is anti-progress, anti-freedom, anti-medicine, anti-research, anti-women's rights.

Religion has provided NO new knowledge of our Universe.

Scientific research has expanded our knowledge of the universe and the place of the human species within it. Human inquiry is now able to advance and to have its findings confirmed by science and reason, while the metaphysical and theological speculations of the past have made little or no progress. The discoveries of astronomy, physics, relativity theory, and quantum mechanics have increased our understanding of the universe — from the scale of micro-particles to that of galaxies.

Why claim that Einstein was deeply religious when this is simply false. is your argument so weak that you must resort to lies.

Why have these people ignored what Einstein himself had to say :

A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties and needs; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death. [Albert Einstein, Religion and Science, New York Times Magazine, 9 November 1930]

It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it. [Albert Einstein, 1954, from Albert Einstein: The Human Side]

So what has religion done for humanity besides hold back progress in medicine and knowledge. Or be a reason for war?

I am wondering what people's real opinion is of missionary workers, and of the work they are doing. Do they really feel that it is a calling to this type of work or that they are just doing nothing? I believe it is very important and that it is at times work that does not receive a lot of credit, what do you think?

For about 3 years, I foolishly worshiped the devil. I recently saw the error of my ways, and converted to the Church of Alvis after witnessing a miracle. (I won't bore you with the details, you had to be there). Alvis is the holiest man to ever slap iron, he killed for your sins.
So how did you come to your religious beliefe or lack there of?
