People say that life can't have any meaning or purpose without a creator, but they also say that god didn't have a creator, so does that mean he doesn't have any meaning and purpose in life? Perhaps we should feel a little sorry for him, if his existence is that worthless...

What purpose would the existence of a god serve, if one really existed? After all, if something as amazing as a god could just exist fully formed from nothing, without needing to be designed and created, then surely something infinitely more simple and mundane like a universe wouldn't need to be designed and created either - It could just exist, like god is supposed to do. So, why would a god need to exist at all? It would have nothing to do.

Have you ever felt like you were on the verge of an eternal truth?

Have you ever felt that truth be snatched away from you at the last moment, as though the truth was too big for your brain?

Can you truly have a mind-altering epiphany?

how humanity is becoming more conscious and socity's paradim is shifting. It was at stevepavlina.com, his most recent blog entry. He spoke about... well, you'll have to read it for yourself - i can't do it justice in just a few words. My question: Do you agree with him? Are you part of this movement? How do you feel about it?

it could be out of context but hey, god still kills for fun.

Meanwhile, the LORD instructed one of the group of prophets to say to another man, "Strike me!" But the man refused to strike the prophet. Then the prophet told him, "Because you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, a lion will kill you as soon as you leave me." And sure enough, when he had gone, a lion attacked and killed him. 1. Macro and Micro evolution is the same only a different amount of time, if you claim one exists, you say the other exists as well.
2. FYI Man from Ape is Micro evolution (we are the same species = primates)
3. No links between man and ape? DNA proves it, Neandertal man, Lucy, Homo floresiensis, the 'Hobbit', Kenyan skull OL 45500,Homo sapiens idaltu ,OH 65, a new fossil from Olduvai Gorge ,Transitional skull D2700 from Dmanisi ,Sahelanthropus tchadensis, and more
......So how is it coming along trying to find proof for that invisible God in the sky?...lol

Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. 15Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. 16Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. As far back as Ancient Greece, people knew that a 'tri-omni' god (omniscient, omnipotent, omnibenevolent) cannot exist. That only leaves a god who is malevolent or imaginary. Which option is preferable, in your opinion?

Religion, God, A divine power, lets face it it's all the same thing but in all honesty it really only stems from a fear of death. People just can't handle or accept that when you die that's it, no heaven, no hell, not even blackness. Nothing at all. F ucking scary idea really is'nt it, it's that fear that all religions prey (excuse the pun) on.
This debate can go on for thousands of years (and will), but at the end of the day NO PROOF has EVER been produced.
It all started with sun worshiping and will probably end up back there.
Sorry about this question, it's my first and brobably last serious one, still think of it as a small way of pissing off EVERY religion at once. After all they are all equally bollocks.
And PLEASE don't any of you sad lonely bastards prey for me.

I leave you with this one TRUE fact.
ALL religions base themselves on peace and love, yet religion has caused more pain, suffering and death than anything else on this planet!

As we know, idol worship has been around for quite some time. Idol worship was/is a Pagan practice. This first appeared with Venus of Willendorf, which dates back to anywhere from 20000 BCE or 22000 BCE.

Judaism, though -- one of popular Monotheistic religions -- came around in approximately 1313 BCE. Least to say, a considerable amount of time LATER than Paganism. (For those who don't, with BCE, the smaller the numbers, the more recent they are)

The Torah was written after the Jews escaped Egypt. HOWEVER... the Egyptians had their own text, known as the Book of the Dead. If you examine both, the similarities are... a few too many. And the Egyptians were around there before the Jews.

the only different you never mention a christian man did it. but you will be so excited to say "a muslim man did it". that's how unfair you can be. Islam, this beautiful religion protects our rights and our women. leave Islam alone, we already know its the true word from our lord.

Hey I am curious, i am a christian and non christians ask how can i prove there is a God, well first of all God is everywhere, take a look around you, the proof is everywhere, the question is how can you prove there ISNT a God? How do you think the earth was really created? Do you think it just appeared out of nowhere? What about the whole universe? Did that just appear out of nowhere too? Just curious.....

Why do you condemn people for believing in evolution? Do you think that just because one has a different idea of how we came into being that the Love of Christ wont cover them? That God loves them less? Does God love us more because we have the "right" idea? Why not show them the love of Christ instead of bickering and bickering over things that ultimatly dont matter? People are lost and in pain and suffering and all i see are "christians" pointless bickerings. Help the hurt, feed the hungry, clothe the poor.

Good evening everyone:

What is the belief regarding praying to Virgin Mary statues and paintings, or the saints,or images of Jesus (PBUH).

In Islam we do not have any images whatsoever, so it is not an issue or a topic for us. But I wondered if this is an issue for christians of different denominations?

Thanks in advance for your answer!

Respectfully,
Muslimah

Why is it that when you look at Christian nations you see Success but when you look at Islamic nations you see poverty and a general backwards situation akin to modern time stone ages?

I used to argue about how racist and Evil I thought Islam was with a guy named Born. If you sat and talked with him, you'd think he was retarded. A Typical muslim who believed all the garbage in the koran and thought he knew everything simply cause Farrahkan told him so. Spouting all these ridiculous conspiracy theories about African pyramids in Arizona (in areas you couldn't go to to verify ), tales of Ethiopian Jews, etc,etc YET, he was totally oblivious to factual information like the world population (He claimed it was 12 Billion) and he doesn't vote.

He had a small desktop shop in a market selling soaps, oils and incense (we all know this type of moron) and he ended up losing his shop due to the fact the rent was around $800 a month. Apparently soap and insence doesn't sell that well.
