Why do people often feel it is God's fault when someone passes away? Why do we often lose faith during this time? How do we overcome the struggle?

I know there are alot of cliches concerning witches. I'm dressing up as a historically correct one, and I was wondering exactly how many were rooted in true practices. Does anyone know?

An apparant murder suicide has been committed in Mass. A mother and child have been found dead in their apartment. The devils works or God's will?

I have been thinking...what if suiside is not for the soal intention to hurt the people around you. But what if suiside is the understanding of life and exeptance of death. If we lose everything in this world and we kill ourself, would we still go to hell?

I am looking for some creative ideas for a Sunday School lesson for 4th and 5th graders on Joshua Chapter 1.

This is where Joshua is being told by God to take over leadership of Isreal after Moses' death. The lesson plan I have is rather lame and I was going to see if anyone can help with some creative ideas.

I want to focus on the important qualities of a good leader and how Joshua was told to be curageous and strong by God and that God wouldn't forsake him. I also want to help illustrate how it must have felt (a little overwhelming) to be asked to follow in the footsteps of such a great leader.

Games? Activities? Stories?
I know someone out there can impress me. :) A great "leadership" game would be awesome.

(Negative comments about God and Christianity aren't really a help.)

My new guy is pagan and says that he is a coward and is afraid of it all just being over when he dies. He says that the idea of an afterlife gives him comfort. Why do you think that is, and what is it that makes a person feel that way? I am not judging anyone’s beliefs here, I would just like to know peoples opinions on the concept that is faith. Thanks for the help in advance; I know this is a touchy subject for some.

somehwere in the bible it says (moses books) do not make any image neithr of something on earth nor of something above. then it also says do not pray in front of them. BUT it says do not make any pictures, also without praying we shall not make any pictures of anything. I think the bible speaks of the new world >>>jesus who comes to fullfill the law,,,, and that means for me NO TV, No pics, no images, statues etc in the new world hat do you think about that? Me being too extreme I don think so it says so!!!

So many believe that Jesus called himself God, or said he was God; please give scripture that we may reference. I'd like to understand where this belief comes from. Thank you much! And no, I'm humble enough to admit that I haven't read the whole Bible which is why I'm asking.

Think about it. We're told that nothing comes into existence randomly -- no, everything MUST be created. If that's so, then god must be created, so who/what created him?

All these other religions, you really never hear them trying to get anyone over to their belief or outreaching to the community, I would wonder if they would think they are the real truth wouldnt they do more outreach to the world. Christianity is the only religion that reaches out to other people to at lease get them to believe what they believe, I really have never seen these other religions proffessing their faith to gets others to their side, not on tv, the streets, music, this really makes me think twice on what they beleive, its like their antisocail, if you beleive whole heartly what you beleive you should be trying your hardest to get it out to the world, Makes Me Wonder??
