i don't think we'll ever know that question... =T it is a risk you take, some people believe suicide means u are definitely going to hell, because u took the life God gave you into your own hands.. but what about those who are so persecuted and hurt and alone and sad, they feel as if they cannot live in this world? that they want to be with God sooner? i do'nt know how God will judge that person.. i learned recently that Jesus died for all of our sins.. past, present AND future... HE already knows what we are going to do, good or bad... so does that mean we are condemned to fail? or does it mean that He forgives us NO MATTER WHAT?
and what about those people who are evil murderers, compared to a lonely depressed, confused person who takes his or her own life? how do u compare the two, why would God "prefer" the murderer who confesses at the end of his life, compared to the one who was sad and killed himself? we will Never know the answer to that! i believe as long as you continue to Seek Knowledge and Learn for ur own understanding as well as God's, the answers will enlighten you....whether or not you believe in Christianity or Buddhism or anything else. but giving up without putting up a fight will not help you find that answer...
good luck! :)

Despite a persons intentions it is important to note that suicide always hurts the people around one. Losing someone is always difficult, and the added trauma of a violent, avoidable death is disturbing to say the least. That being said the theological question of Suicide is an interesting one. There is no evidence of an after life so to terminate ones own life early would end ones existence and so eliminate the chances of ever gaining anything new. There is never a situation in the world where someone "loses everything" without the possibility gaining something new. Suicide is a severe mistake The only life you are guaranteed is your current one.

The answer is YES, because suicide is murder, and all murder is a sin. Period. Only God can give life, and be the only one that can take it. If he lets a suicide victim die, it was because He allowed it. Only God can end a life. and it is a sin to take your own life or someone elses. God is agaiinst murder, not just saying not to kill. If someone is trying to kill you, you can fight back. thats not murder, thts self defesne. amen. And, suicide is the one sin you cant repent of, becuase you are dead and you can no longer repent. When one gets to that point, its because they arent truly walking with the Lord. He will give us the answer to all things, if we ask. and have faith. But when we try to fix stuff on our own, we fail everytime. and then life can be too much. If a person wants to experience real life, expereince life on this earth now with God, and in the afterlife with God forever and ever, in love, peace and joy beyond description. God says no more tears there, no illness..... and so much more. Why would anyone take a risk at losing out on a life forever of perfection and love and a peace that goes beyond description? It is worth the effort to take the time to find God and truly know Him. I pray for you and pray you truly find answers to your questions. God has them all.

Looking on the positive side.
Suicide means there is;
1) Less unemployment.
2) Less crime.
3) Less drug addicts.
4) Less worry for the loved ones.
5) Less screwed up people in the world.
6) Less resources spent on trying to fix screwed up people.
On the negative side.
Your dead.

It depends on the tenets of your faith.
For many, life is a gift from God (or a god) and to take your life in an insult, thus the dogmatic assumption that you will go to hell for it.
Other view suicide as a noble way out.

i was taught that if you commit suicide you are stuck in limbo for the rest of eternity or something like that. suicide is a sin and i have lost two close friends to it. It is defintly not the answer. YOu hurt everyone involved in your life, but i guess at that point in your life it doesnt matter about any one but you. and making your pain stop. . .

to take the life of yourself or another in the bible is a sentence to a life in limbo..
LIMBO a soul that dose not rest nor can it escape life or death
Suicide comes in many forms, you have people who have debt or other things depressing them selves.
the other is the Suicide Bomber who one who's intent is to take others with himself.
answer to your question is that you would not go to hell but stay in limbo for eternity with the pain of life before i.e poltergeist

suicide is still sin. So yes, you we would still go to hell. We are called to LIVE for Christ, and help save as many people as we can. If we kill ourselves, then how can we do that?

suicide means to me .....that a person is in so much inner pain that they see death as a way of stopping the pain.....people considering suicide are thinking self preservation and hell is what they are living......baby.....take a deep breath......and if you are in pain or know someone feeling pain.....call the hot line.....seek help immediately so someone can help ease the pain!
