We eat the same, drink the same, reproduce the same, and deficate the same. Why is it man puts themselves above animals? Because the bible says so? boulderdash! poppycock! and fiddlesticks! we are animals too. When you accept that, then you will understand why we are here. hint: it has NOTHING to do with religion.

and don't give me "noz, b/c htey don't exist!!!11!" Speaking hypothetically, can an Angel die? I would think they would be immortal, but I heard about physical "battles between angels and devils". If neither side can die, then there doesn't seem to be much of a point.

please list any source you may have. credibility is appreciated. thanks

and how it directly almost applies to them. Im not saying all, but most do exactly what the scriptures tell them not to do.
Matthew 510-511
Blesses are ye(believers of god) when man shall revile you and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely
(judgement of mans beliefs by their fellow man, which is society)
for my sake(in the name of god)
Ye are the salt of the earth(one who has his faith with god, and does not judge others) but if salt have lost his savor where with shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under the foot of man(the acceptance of society, and the belief of god from man, and not the light within)
Under the foot of man(what man wants, and dominates)

Does it not stand to reason that those who say if you are not a Christian, and believe the way I do, arent these the people, the very same people that the scripture says will falsely accuse in the name of god.

"After people receive blessings that they asked for, very
few send back acknowledgments. "How does one acknowledge God's
blessings?" ."Simple. "Just say, "Thank you, Lord.""What blessings should they acknowledge? "If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep. You are richer than 75% of this world. "If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a
dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
"If you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity."
Also... "If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day. "If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 700 million people in the world. please count your blessings and thank jesus for all good and bad times

GOD says thou shalt have no other GOD,s before me

I was doing some research, and on this website, that provides instruction regarding the Quran ( http://www.submission.org/satan/representative.html ) I found the following, disturbing text:

"In the verse [4:117], the Quran teaches that by worshiping Jesus, Mohammed, the sun, the moon or any other idol, the disbelievers are worshiping Satan. Because he is the one who invites them to do so. The Jesus' worshipers are in fact Satan's worshipers."

Directly quoting the Quran:

"They even worship female gods besides him; as a matter of fact, they only worship a rebellious devil." [4:117]

In that it is taught by the Quran, that those who worship Jesus as Lord as one who worships the Devil, it is no wonder followers of Islam believe we should be killed. In that case - how can there ever be peace among the two, and in light of this, why do they hate the monotheistic Jews? And if there is no reconcilable peace - what should be the course of action?

Articulate responses please.

If you are not a baptized practicing JW then DO NOT answer this question.

The Watchtower says:
Matthew 24:34 "Truly I say to YOU that this generation will by no means pass away..." The aging of the 1914 generation was pointed to again and again as clear evidence of the shortness of the remaining time.

In the 1940s the view held by the Organization was that a "generation" covered a period of about 30 to 40 years. This lent itself to the constant insistence of the extreme shortness of time left.

In the Awake magazine of October 8, 1968 (pages 13, 14) says: "Jesus was obviously speaking about those who were old enough to witness with understanding what took place when the "last days" began...

Doesn’t what Matthew says contradict trying to pick a certain time of the end?

Matthew 24:36 – “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

I'll post a link to an article about it, but for those who don't like to follow links, here's the main point of the law:

"It allows the government to seize individuals on American soil and detain them indefinitely with no opportunity to challenge their detention in court. And the new law would permit an individual to be convicted on the basis of coerced testimony and even allow someone convicted under these rules to be put to death."

They claim that this law will only be used to persecute terrorists, but when you get right down to it, what's stopping them from deciding that an American citizen who simply opposes the war is a terrorist? They wouldn't even have to tell you why.

How does the signing of this law mesh with Bush's claim to be a "good Christian?" Why do American Christians stand by while the rights they claim are God given are taken away?

Who, exactly, is the terrorist here? Because I tell you what, I'm terrified, and it's not of Muslims, Iraq, or Iran.

In the 12th Chapter of Judges Jephtha is portrayed as making a vow to God to present as a "burnt offering" the first thing that comes out of his house to greet him if God will let him defeat the Ammonites. As anyone who's read the story knows, his daughter rushes out to greet him, and gamely submits to the terms of her father's vow. Now I see this story as one of the Bible's many brilliant allegories rather than as an actual historical account--Jephtha was probably a real person, and he probably had a daughter, but the story implying his sacrifice of his daughter in fulfillment of a vow is probably meant to make some larger point rather than being an account of something that really happened. On the other hand, if the story is historical, the question of her fate is left to the imagination. Any fresh interpretation of the story gets 10 points.
