becouse people have evil spirits in side them that makes them do evil.GOD says that if one evil spirit comes out the next evil spirit is even worse than the first. but when all the evil spirits are gone then they will do no more harm to anyone. like mary from the bible JESUS made 11 spirits leave her. but always rember that there are a lot of good people in this world, keep your faith and pray for all the souls like JESUS did

You are correct, but then my question would be. Why do so many "Christians" kill "in the name of God"? Look at the slaughter of the American Indians, the Salem Witch Hunts, not to mention the attacks on centers that are willing to perform legal abortions. Perhaps others, and myself, would view Christianity better if it lived by its own rules.

Three possible reasons:
1. Because they are ignorant and don't understand the true ramifications of their actions. Harm to others only harms the self.
2. Their life is in danger, and they are protecting themselves.
3. They have serious pschological problems (i.e. psychosis) and are in need of counceling.
Usually though, I think it's because they are ignorant. It stems out of a seperatist ideology that divides everyone into "us" and "them" when in truth there is only "we." In the end, we only harm ourselves when we strike out at another. This is a fundamental law of cause and effect, regardless of religious affiliation.

Because they have a will. And this causes them to be able to do harm or choose the righteous path.
