its because they do not believe in the real true GOD that is in heaven, they would rather worship something that couse pain to other,s
some day everyone will see that there is one and only one true GOD and he is in heaven,

Maybe you should define "other gods" better.... And be careful. Just because someone worships the Divine in a different image than you may not mean "other gods".
Try reading Deepak Chopra's book on the subject, "How to Know God".
Having said that, the scripture you're referring to was a warning to us not to be taken in by the ideas we have or the false representations of the Divine. Human beings are easily swept up in what we think reality is to the point that we stop trying to see what really IS. We start seeing the idol as the only form/image of God and forget that the Divine is so much more than we can really conceive.

People were worshipping other "GOD's" way before the bible ever came along. For hundreds of thousands of years longer. The bible when it was first written has been proven to be a record of historical accounts of what happened to people, they just didn't have an explanation why. Later on, during 1400's that is when Kings began to edit it as a way to make people fear their majesty, as well as the church, which went hand in hand in those days. Now that people don't get hung, stoned, burned, drowned or crushed they are free to chose whichever religion they believe in. Some people go back to the old religion (Paganism) because it is very flexible in one's beleive structure. Paganism just incorporates one rule, Harm none, this rule is based on Karma, you get what you give. So in other words if you killed a child, your Karma would comeback to bite you, (I.E Jail and then forced Anal Sex)

I believe people in this country and some places around the world are free to believe in what they want to believe in. I was raised in a catholic home, went to catholic shools and the hole show and I felt so empty with that. Right now I don't want to have any religion, I feel sorry for us people fighting and killing each other in the name of God (which God?, I have no clue). I see that people can't have a real freedom of mind or beliefs and more and more people need to have something else, magical, almighty that can save us from all the damage that WE have caused to each other.
I personally appreciate people who believe or not in God, I believe I'm a human, intelligent being... and I can't judge you for your decisions, I just can wish you eternal love and peace in your life.

The "Old Testament " says that. One Religions words. Each religion has it's own version of the truth, ( Word of God ) What their God says is at the very core of the concept of mass manipulation. Who conveys the words of God..mortals. No Mortal has spoken directly to or seen or touched a "God". Moses talked to and saw a burning bush. Even Adam only heard his creator. Noah, heard a voice that gave him instructions. It's just part of the " Can't prove or disprove" game..ultimate stalemate.

How do you know they are other God's and not the same god with a different name
Not everyone speaks the same language.
And all religions have a main god above all the others. Whos to say the lesser gods aren't that religions form of angels.

I believe because they don't actually know that they're doing it; that was the case for me long time ago. They probably haven't did any research either.
Also the one's that do know; I believe they like to defy God with their gods. They don't want to believe in God because they think he's far away, so they have to make images,statues, etc. to be with their gods.

You are absolutely right God said "there is no gods besides me." He also wrote the Law "Thou shalt not worship other gods."
Your question is good: why people are worshipping other gods?? that is because they were deceived by Satan. Satan doesn't want anyone to worship One, True God (the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit).
Satan knows that there is truth out there, he doesn't want you to know about it.

Not everyone believes the bible. Some like myself were Christian but left after I could no long overlook the errors and contradictions of the bible.
I am pagan. I honor the lord and lady and call them by many names, but Deity neither or wants our worship. I invite them to me rituals.

For the same reason you worship your god. What your god says is irrelevent to other gods and their followers.
