and how it directly almost applies to them. Im not saying all, but most do exactly what the scriptures tell them not to do.
Matthew 510-511
Blesses are ye(believers of god) when man shall revile you and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely
(judgement of mans beliefs by their fellow man, which is society)
for my sake(in the name of god)
Ye are the salt of the earth(one who has his faith with god, and does not judge others) but if salt have lost his savor where with shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under the foot of man(the acceptance of society, and the belief of god from man, and not the light within)
Under the foot of man(what man wants, and dominates)
Does it not stand to reason that those who say if you are not a Christian, and believe the way I do, arent these the people, the very same people that the scripture says will falsely accuse in the name of god.

In other words everyones faith(god) should be respected, and not judged as wrong or right. That we should all be a light to each other without such judgement

Thank you Debra m that is exactly what I was talking about. There should be no judgement. I realize we do not have to belief as everyone else does, but we should still give respect to any faith.

I agree that we should respect each other and not judge anyone. I also beleive that the best way to bring a person to God and to Christ is through a life well lived following ones faith.

I don't know that I can answer your whole question - or all the questions you raise - but I do want to speak to one point you make. You say, "In other words everyones faith(god) should be respected, and not judged as wrong or right". You may be asking the impossible. When one teaching directly contradicts another, asking its followers to view any other teaching as equally right, or correct, negates the principle of truth. Some truths are mutually exclusive, including religious beliefs. When one religion defines the way to "heaven", or "eternal life", or whatever is the goal, and that definition rules out the teaching of another religion, it is somewhat intolerant to expect believers on each side to accept the teaching of the other as being just as correct.

Ok.... not exactly sure what you're saying, so I am just going to go ahead and clarify this passage for you.
Salt was used as a preservative to keep food from becoming rotten. Jesus, by calling his followers "the salt of the earth," was calling them to be the moral conscience of the world, to not allow the earth to rot, but to teach all people how to live their lives in unity with God.
The use of the word light suggests a beacon, or a point of navigation. Followers of Christ were to point others to Christ by living moral, upright lives.
This way, if Christians were persecuted for their faith, it would be evident to all that they were good citizens, and not worthy of such persecution.
Hope this helps.

I believe this scripture is for the pursecution of Christians by others, not of different beliefs amoung Christians.
I think you can beleive whatever you want as a Christian and should not be judged as long as you don't conflict the Word of God. You can be any denomination so long as you believe the main point that everyone seems to overlook.
You must believe in Jesus and put your faith in Him.
All the rest are just details.

These opinions are totally wrong, whomever you are getting this from or if it is your opinion, your missing the big picture totally. Being the salt of the earth is about being steadfast in faith, it has nothing to do with judging others, we have to discern the fruit that others bare. This whole statement is a pacifist view of scripture and is blasphemy. There have always been multitudes of "Christians" in name only, true Christians are to be in judgment of these people otherwise many fall to their false doctrine. Without judgment/discernment, Christians would have nothing to gauge the standards of others who falsely lay claim to Christianity.

I continually propose that Christians initiate with the recent testomony. each Gospel ought to be studied heavily; then, flow directly to the Pauline and Hebrew Epistles. despite the fact that if, i do no longer propose that a clean Christian study Revelation, via fact a thourough understanding of the finished Bible (quite the OT) is mandatory as a fashion to comprehend it. religious adulthood is needed, additionally -- that's something a clean Christian won't yet have. To my view, a individual shouldn't study Revelation till they have study the finished Bible a minimum of as quickly as, which contains the foremost and minor prophets (quite Isaiah, Ezekiel, Jeremiah and Daniel) a number of cases. that's the only e book interior the finished Bible that contains a blessing for reading and expertise it -- via fact God is conscious that the reader might desire to comprehend His word till now that's significant. learn classes or communities might nicely be efficient, yet be valuable to ask a mature, Bible-believing Christian for education first. there are a number of learn classes that are greater effective left on my own, in case you comprehend my meaning ... it might additionally be efficient to purchase scholarly books, which includes Wayne Grudem's 'Systematic Theology,' that's a classic. Scriptural exegesis is a found out skill and would not come of course to maximum persons.

No. You've misunderstood these statements.
It's a warning that being a Christian is not easy. That in following Christ you will be hated, as Christ was hated.
That people will hate you and revile you and speak evil of you for your Christianity. Because you follow Him.
For my sake, means because Christians chose to follow Christ.
So why are any of us surprised or put out when people make fun, or tell lies about us, or put us down as being feeble minded?
Jesus told us it would be this way.
I think though, the paragraph you are looking for is where Jesus says: "Judge not. Lest ye be judged." Keep digging. You'll find it.

Its human's nature of wanting to be incontrol of our own lives. We think we know it all. We need to pray before we speak. I know I will be persecuted for believing in Jesus, because that's what it says. But I will still love my enemy.
I heard of a 'church' that was supporting abortion. People have to beware that they are not following lies of man, or misinterpretations.
