few send back acknowledgments. "How does one acknowledge God's
blessings?" ."Simple. "Just say, "Thank you, Lord.""What blessings should they acknowledge? "If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep. You are richer than 75% of this world. "If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a
dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
"If you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity."
Also... "If you woke up this morning with more health than illness,you are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day. "If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 700 million people in the world. please count your blessings and thank jesus for all good and bad times

Yes I do count my blessings. Even more so when I see bad things happening in the world. We are all very lucky to have a roof over our head and food to eat. Suppose we take it for granted most of the time.

I count my blessings by the peace I feel, the love I have for others. Material items are not a blessing, they are just a bunch of junk to 'entertain' ourselves with. I'd rather help someone buy food, than buy a new cd, or car, or whatever.

Good admonition. This is also great advice for when I am in a bad mood. Counting ones blessings is good for "attitude adjustment."

Psalm 103:1-5
Bless the Lord, O my soul
And all that is within me, bless His holy name
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget none of His benefits;
Who pardons our iniquities
Who heals all your diseases;
Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;
Who satisfies your years with good things
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.

I quite agree with you that it is good to count one's blessing. I count mine every second and give thanks to God because God has been so good and kind to me. It's not that I have gotten all what I desire from God, but I know when there is life, there is hope. Rom. 8:32 even testifies that God Who has not spared His only Son for our sake will freely give us all things. It is good to always thank God for the things He has done so that He can do more. An adage in my country says" if you can think deeply, you will know how to thank and appreciate God". It is good to count one's blessing.

Count your blessings, name them one by one
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

This is a good way of getting out of negative thinking., and learn to be content.

I would be counting forever!! I thank God as they come to mind, but I am thankful all the time. I know what would have happened to me without Him, and I know I have a lot to be thankful for.

Thanks for reiterating what we have to be thankful for, sometimes it is easy to take it for granted when we hit potholes in the road or detours in our lives. But it is pretty small when you compare it to what other people go through. i.e. I went to Starbucks almost every morning this week! What a way to start your day, how many people can do that!

Peace!
