Someone quoted Deuteronomy 22:5 "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God." as OT law. This passage is not law for it says that all that do so are an ABOMINATION unto God. God never changes so if was an abomination then it still is today. Now back in the Bible days they all wore robes but they were made different for men than for women. Of course we don't wear robes today so we have to apply it to our culture and time. I personally believe I shouldn't wear pants. You can see alot more in pants than you can in a skirt. But with that being said you also have to take in account modesty. Some skirts are very immodest. But I think the main point is women should dress like women and men should dress like men. A dress/skirt is very feminine where as pants are masculine. I'm sure you know the old saying "I know who wears the pants in this house." It doesn't really carry too much meaning if both the men and women actually wore pants. Also when you go to a public restroom they have the stick man for the men's room and a stick lady with a dress for the women's. It's just feminine to wear a dress/skirt. So I personally feel that pants are a no no. But that is me. I hope I've helped, and I hope you get the answer you're looking for.

Deut. 22:5 says:

Several Christian religious sects interpret this passage as a prohibition against women wearing pants. The enforcement of an OT Mosaic Law is not applicable to Christians today, since we're under the New Covenant of Jesus Christ. There is no prohibition against women wearing garments that are traditionally worn by men. Instead, we are urged to dress with modesty.

Times have changed. There are laws in the Bible that are for all time, and laws that are purely for the culture. God did not allow his people to eat "unclean" animals because they could cause diseases by being undercooked, badly prepared, etc. We know more now, and we can prepare any meat in a clean way. The Old Testament was nailed to the cross with Jesus. I believe that women wearing pants is another thing that has changed with the culture of the time. I don't think that people who disagree with me are wrong. Subjects like this are grey areas. Honestly, they don't pertain to salvation. Jesus said, "I am THE Way, THE Truth, and THE Life. No one comes to the Father except by Me." Wearing pants, eating pork, using instruments in church services, and the like are decisions that each must make for himself. The Bible says that if one man believes something is wrong, another person falls into sin by causing that man to stumble. Respect one another's decisions. We all have a common goal, and the important thing is knowing who Jesus is, and what God has done for us. (Loosely summed up.) Jesus is the Way. Never cutting your hair or eating pork is not the way (It is A way, and it isn't not a wrong way). Jesus is THE way, THE Truth, and THE Life. I'm having a little trouble saying what I mean.

In the Bible tey say that it is wrong for women to wear the clothes of a man, however if you wore pants they would be made for a woman. The point that the Bible is trying to make is that its wrong for a women to dress/impersonate a man. Its not about wearing pants, its deeper than that, its about what it means and represents.

There are many religions that have a bunch of weird stuff they believe.
If you are a Christian and believe in the Bible......
No where does it say it is a sin for woman to wear pants. As far as attending church goes, even then the Bible doesn't speak of woman wearing only dresses and skirts. But it does say to wear your best.

What the scriptures actually say is that women should look like women and men should look like men. If you can wear pants and still look feminine, it isn't a problem. Joan of Arc had a problem with this issue.

If God had a dress code for people, he would have put tiny gnomes and tailors in the womb to ensure you came out wearing the appropriate divine fashions.
God doesn't care what you wear. People invented clothing, as Genesis 3:7 aptly notes.

It is not wrong to wear pants. However, St. Paul has a way of answering situations like this. He was asked if it was sinful to eat meat sacrificed to idols. His teaching can apply to all situations, it is as follows:
[1 Cor 8:1] Now in regard to meat sacrificed to idols: we realize that "all of us have knowledge"; knowledge inflates with pride, but,
[1 Cor 8:2] If anyone supposes he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know.
[1 Cor 8:3] But if one loves God, one is known by him.
[1 Cor 8:4] So about the eating of meat sacrificed to idols: we know that "there is no idol in the world," and that "there is no God but one."
[1 Cor 8:5] Indeed, even though there are so-called gods in heaven and on earth (there are, to be sure, many "gods" and many "lords"),
[1 Cor 8:6] yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom all things are and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and through whom we exist.
[1 Cor 8:7] But not all have this knowledge. There are some who have been so used to idolatry up until now that, when they eat meat sacrificed to idols, their conscience, which is weak, is defiled.
[1 Cor 8:8] Now food will not bring us closer to God. We are no worse off if we do not eat, nor are we better off if we do.
[1 Cor 8:9] But make sure that this liberty of yours in no way becomes a stumbling block to the weak.
[1 Cor 8:10] If someone sees you, with your knowledge, reclining at table in the temple of an idol, may not his conscience too, weak as it is, be "built up" to eat the meat sacrificed to idols?
[1 Cor 8:11] Thus through your knowledge, the weak person is brought to destruction, the brother for whom Christ died.
[1 Cor 8:12] When you sin in this way against your brothers and wound their consciences, weak as they are, you are sinning against Christ.
[1 Cor 8:13] Therefore, if food causes my brother to sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I may not cause my brother to sin.
