people wont to blame GOD on everything that goes wrong in this world, i have never heard anyone curse the devil like that. when something goes good people say it was luke or something like that. but when they get mad and nothing goes right for them the first thing they do is blame GOD, and when someone dies they blame and curse GOD, they do not care that it was that person,s time to go. and when some person takes a nother person,s life they blame GOD and not the person that did the harm. people are backard,s just keep the faith cause good will be the winner in the end

God, Lord God, Lord, etc... are not names. So if I say "goddamnit" I could very well be talking about Zeus and not your God at all.
"thou shalt not take the LORD GOD's name in vain" Makes it Vain in that statement. The word "vain" there means to Make Empty. To remove the name from that statement makes the name Empty. Take a look into it. God's name used to be in the Old Testament almost 7,000 times and it was removed and then replaced with LORD, LORD GOD. which are titles, not names.
So they are not cursing God at all. Besides, breaking it down, god damn it... looks more like you are asking God to damn something... not that you are cursing God.

When a person has a mouth problem, they also have a heart problem. If people use the name of the LORD God in vain, they don't love God.
When a person is saved from a lot, person loves the LORD God a lot and no longer uses God's name in vain.

They don't curse God. They blaspheme God. They're cursing the person or thing that pissed them off at the moment. Curses are as old as humanity itself. Today's curses are probably milder and much less inciteful than the curses of yore. Imagine that your neighbor bought a horse you wanted to buy and you respond "May Baal blight your wife and sour your cow's milk." and then it actually happens!! You could be burned as a sorceror or witch in a hot minute. No trial, just a mob with torches and fears.

Well, many of usdon't believe ingod. We use his name anyway because it is a widely recognized expression that isn't considered "forbidden" the way some other words are.

people curse god because instead of looking at what they have done to themselves they would rather blame someone else for thier missfortune
