I was doing some research, and on this website, that provides instruction regarding the Quran ( http://www.submission.org/satan/representative.html ) I found the following, disturbing text:
"In the verse [4:117], the Quran teaches that by worshiping Jesus, Mohammed, the sun, the moon or any other idol, the disbelievers are worshiping Satan. Because he is the one who invites them to do so. The Jesus' worshipers are in fact Satan's worshipers."
Directly quoting the Quran:
"They even worship female gods besides him; as a matter of fact, they only worship a rebellious devil." [4:117]
In that it is taught by the Quran, that those who worship Jesus as Lord as one who worships the Devil, it is no wonder followers of Islam believe we should be killed. In that case - how can there ever be peace among the two, and in light of this, why do they hate the monotheistic Jews? And if there is no reconcilable peace - what should be the course of action?
Articulate responses please.

There are distinguished Christian Theologians who insist on not worshipping the Son but only God the Father. Mylord Jesus also worshipped God(The Father)... and so did his companions. This was to be an internal question about Christian-theology, and not Christian VS Islam theology. It is understood that Islam ( like another religion ) is strictly monothistic. No partnership with Allah, when worship is the concern. But no killing of the non-worshippers of Allah, except in a war in defence.

They cant. I wish the people who think America is the great satan, is immoral and the women dress like whores, would move back to where they came from. They could see only women's eyes and worship as many times a day as they want. Why come here , unless they are not peaceful and have hidden agendas.

You have to be open to the fact that the Quran and the Bible were both written a couple of thousand years ago. People aren't the same, society is not that same. You can't go around "quoting" parts of something in order to make others look bad. Everyone knows better than that. Christianity and Islam can coexist in peace when people stop throwing quotes at each other, and actually become informed.

This battle is not new, this battle between the believers of the biblical God and the followers of Islam started with Abraham's sons Ishmael and Issac. There will never be peace until the Lord returns and destroys the world.

Smart people look past interpretations such as these (which in the end are only interpretations) and in stead focus on what is held in common. There are many similar ethical teachings in the two religions, and many passages that express mercy, charity, friendship, peace and tolerance in the scriptures of both religions.
Ecumenism is the practice of religious sharing - discussing what is had in common, studying theology in areas of mutual interest, and while not papering over the differences, not dwelling on them either. It is what intelligent people in both religions must do.
Ecumenism allows us to develop religious interpretations that are sensitive to the existence of other religious cultures. Real dialogue with Islam would probably result in the end or marginalization of harsher interpretations of Quranic passages, in favour of more scholarly and tolerant ones... and the same would be the case with Christians, as well, who might not be as quick to seek to justify nationalism and war policies with religious texts....

Islam will NEVER peacefully co-exist with another religion as long as they are on equal ground. If Islam was to rule over the people of the other religion then they would be tolerated in Islamic society but never equal. IMHO there will never be peace with Islam. If all muslim males under 40 want to meet Allah and have their virgins I believe its the military's job to see to it that the meeting is arranged.

This is a larger problem than it first appears. Christians can do all they can to live in peace with others. They shouldn't have to "pay tribute" to Islam or be in any other way lower than them. Christians and Muslims have lived very well together in the past, but this is always a strange relationship. I have no answer other than to do our best to protect Christian values but also to follow the teachings of Christ to love our enemies. This is a difficult balance.
My opinion is that your question is similar to asking, "How can Jews coexist with Nazis in Peace?"
As to any Bible versus telling people to kill, I would like someone to show me a verse from Christ that argues this. Christ never taught this doctrine. You can find some examples in the Old Testament of the Israelites killing groups of people, but again, if you understand the history, you will see this is more political than religious.

I believe it is possible for Catholics to live in peace with Muslims. The one link Catholics have in common with Islam is the they honor the Blessed Virgin Mary the same as Muslims. Muslims hold Mary as the most important woman in their religion and in fact she is mentioned more in the Quran than in the New Testament. The most loved daughter of the prophet Mohammed was named Fatima and the Blessed Virgin by the grace of God was sent to Fatima in Portugal in 1917 to promote Heaven's peace plan. Many Muslims make an annual pilgrimage to Fatima, Portugal to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary along with many Catholics. Maybe it is possible through Mary to live in peace with Moslems.
