Out of a bazillion pages, the Bible mentions homosexuality about four times.

Why is it the part of the Bible that inspires so many 'questions' on this board? What is the fascination/obsession/fantasy pathology going on here?!

Ok, here it is. Why is it that society today embraces 'tolerance' but does NOT tolerate christianity. What I mean is it is 'ok' for a person to wear a muslim shirt in school but the second someone wears a cross or says the name Jesus every one shuts them down. If we are supposed to accept lesbians, gays, gamblers, etc etc why cant people accept a christian?

I know this woman, she is in her late 20's now and she swears that she use to get into physical fights with demons in her bedroom when she was about 13. I have known her about 10 years and she doesn't seem insane from what I can tell.

She said she would get into fist fights with this one paticular demon every so often and even had bruises and broken stuff in her room because of the fights.

She honestly believed this happened and said it happened because she was so strong in her Christian beliefs that the demons tried to attack her because her faith angered them.

Do you think someone can get into a fist fight with a demon? Do you think she is crazy or was she actually physically attacked by demons?

I personally think that it did not happen. What do you think?

My husband is a minister. He does a good job, and 90% of the church likes him. The 10% that don't, however, are the ones who have control over the finances and the budget. For the second year in a row now, they have not given us any kind of raise, and we weren't making much money in the first place. Now we have a daughter who has government health insurance. We qualify for food stamps, but haven't gotten them.

Now I am going to have to move back in with my parents because they don't pay us enough to pay our heating bills this winter. It is really quite sickening. I have totally questioned my faith since coming to this church, and I no longer wish to associate with this denomination. We are stuck in it for now, but does anyone have any ideas how to handle the situation? I don't want to be separated from my husband for 4 months.

Alright, I've asked a number of questions defending the faith, but I'm a little tired of fighting. I look back at my questions and for half of them I wonder if I ask them for His glory or for mine. I think I'll start using this forum more in a way I think God would have us use it. To discuss and study the Word of God.

In light of that spirit, what do ya'll think of this verse in regards to the way we've been treating non-christians on Y!A?

27"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. 30Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Luke 6:27-31

Anyone got any other verses that they think might be helpful?

I think that my question is not at all similar to other questions about Bill Gates.
I know nothing about him, and I shall never know. Even if Bill Gates wrote to me to tell who he is, still I cannot claim that I know him.
I am informed that if I wanted to know about Bill Gates, I should put his famous name on any search engine box, I would get books, images, videos...telling me all aspects of his life. If I do so, I will waste many precious hours of my life. Do you really think that I will know him after all the searching? Not at all.
I admire the inventors of the Internet who claim to supply information to the world, and not the KNOWLEDGE. Not any surfers can become knowledgeable; they only get information to use wisely or stupidly according to their nature.
I want to say that we cannot know such a concrete and famous man, how dare we claim to know the universe, its origin and its purpose? As an intelligent being, should we not decide to seek for a true Educator to open our mind?

When god made humans, the bible says that he created them after his image. They were all good, and didn't know sins. But why did he create curiosity and placed the tree in the garden? Did he provoke Eve's treason? If he made them after his image, why do they know evil? Does this mean that he has sins in himself aswell?
I don't mean to offend anyone, I am just curious.

Just because a reliigion is started by a certain race doesn't mean that everyone else cannot partake. But lets be honest here, christianity is a white religion. Sure, most people would claim that Jesus is arabic...but if so, how come just about 99.9% o fall the depiction of jesus i see is white.

If animals evolved from one source or potentially can do so why in the biblical noah,s story did noah had to take one animal of each kind , male and female , when it might have been easier to lower the load and simply carry with him in the arc yeast cells , that would eventually develop into elephants , whales , goats etc . was this noah,s story really true . what do scientist say ? Please lets have an educated discussion , both christians and none christians for i believe by not thinking inside the box we all can win . knowledge is a process and debates are sources of change .

My boyfriend just took the biggest dump he ever had. He said it was heavenly, and came running out to the living room jumping up and down all excited saying "JENNY YOU GOTTA SEE THIS!"

So we went to the bathroom and I looked in the toilet. There to my amazement was a giant poo which looks EXACTLY like the Arabic word for Allah!!!

I remember seeing it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Allah.svg

Is this a miracle?

What is the difference between a humanistic, monastic system of belief in which wisdom is sought by means of an apparently nonsensical system of questions and answers, and a lot of mystic gibberish made up on the spur of the moment?

1446 years ago Islam established the term Human Rights in areas like social classes quality, women rights

, abolishment of slavery where in past the world did not recognize any human rights
In the past women were sex propriety where the in west the catholic church called for one marriage only there was no freedom to divorce and men committed Adultery most of the time remember king Henry lovers
Islam gave women the right to divorce husband for his bad looks beside other things. Thank God for Islam we all are free

Yes I can read. However, buying a pack of diapers hardly helps the problem of underage, unwanted pregnancy. You started your posts ranting about pro-life people then condemn there answers. I don't see how you can be a baby killer activists and then turn around acting like a saint with a bag of diapers. I don't see your insinificant acts of generousity as doing anything. So ultimately what do you really do????????? You were obviously threatened by my response to your nonesense. If you think about it all taxpayers contribute to Americas poverty. It is called medicaid!!!! If you want to ridicule someone why don't you start with premarital, underage sex, which is where the problem truly begins, instead of making all society responsible for the carelessness of a bunch of horny teenagers.
