What is the difference between a humanistic, monastic system of belief in which wisdom is sought by means of an apparently nonsensical system of questions and answers, and a lot of mystic gibberish made up on the spur of the moment?

The mistical gibberish is more fun. Imagine, do you want a God who can be manipulated or a God who rewards according to its rules which are almost impossible to understand? I want the more difficult, that way fewer people are in the inner circle. Look at King David, in his younger years he had a gay fling with the son of a king and got the kings job, now thats what I call a decent career path.
