In the past women were sex propriety where the in west the catholic church called for one marriage only there was no freedom to divorce and men committed Adultery most of the time remember king Henry lovers
Islam gave women the right to divorce husband for his bad looks beside other things. Thank God for Islam we all are free

Of course Islam liberated the woman. I'm a Muslim girl, and all i can say that Islam doesn't have anything that *humilates* women, on the contrary, Islam values women. Not like other people here that says Muslim girls r humilated and taken under by Muslim men, things r so different. And ur right about what u mentioned, Islam gave the right to women to divorce her husband if she doesn't love him anymore, and not only for that reason, there r many cases where a woman could divorce her husband. I'm an 18 year old Muslim girl, i finished highschool and now i go to college studying business, and going to work next summer for sure. Getting my education and living my life like any other girl.

well, i would like to assure you that islam,, made women living a good life...the are some people who thinks islam in a very wrong way.. like las vigas...there are hadeth sharif are not true.... quran mentioned women in a sora.. while there is not sora in quran that mention men.... besides.. our prophet said, to treat women perfectly.. didnt say to treat men good,,,, people like las vegas.. are shame on islam for real... read quran and learn more... how muslim women were smart.. and succesful at work...

Free to have 4 wives
Free to sleep with their servants.
Free to take the women of the people they conquer (Sudan)
Free to decide who their wives talk to.
