Well, as I understand it, an agnostic says that he or she does not have enough information to decide whether or not there is a God: a fair enough stance for folks to take. Of course, like the little leather-winged bat that is neither mouse nor bird, it alienates both camps.

Believing in Evolution is like believing in gravity. You do not have to see gravitons (if they even exist) to see the effect of gravity. Likewise, one can see changes wrought by time and circumstance in the genome and phenotypic expression of animals (including that most difficult animal: mankind)

So stop poking agnostics with a sharp stick, Jim. Better they stay on the fence than jump down hard on the side of the thumpers. Me, I am a firm believer in evolution (as a biologist how could I be else?) and an experiencer of The Ineffable.

Peace and ya'll stop by the blog sometime.

Evolution does not prove or disprove the existence of a deity. Evolution may or may not be correct, although there is a substantial amount of evidence pointing to the idea that it may at least in part be correct. This is because some medical procedures that are based off of evolutionary science produce physical results, like not dying. Hence, some agnostics may be able to claim that they were "saved" by the "miracle" of evolutionary science.

Meanwhile, being "born again" sounds like a painful procedure, yet it appears to never really be experienced outside of the imagination.

Agnostics don't have a group belief system. Each Agnostic has his own.

Evolution happened. There may have been a higher power that sort of planted the seed.

It fits pretty well: why wouldn't it? Evolution has nothing to do with whether there is a supernatural entity...

I guess agnostics wouldn't know.
