Out of a bazillion pages, the Bible mentions homosexuality about four times.

Why is it the part of the Bible that inspires so many 'questions' on this board? What is the fascination/obsession/fantasy pathology going on here?!

msjakes: I would like to know what policy is set by "the gay agenda." I thought gays were losing rights. How is that possible if they're 'setting' the policies?

Mostly because people use those "about four times" to base an entire bigoted movement against homosexuals. Never mind that other parts of the Bible are never interpretted this way.

Surprisingly, most of us actually want to see equality in human rights. Hence why it's a topic issue.

Because all of the religious bigots think it's wrong, when in reality, they're nothing more than closeted gays themselves?

The bible does condemn hmosexuality, yet only int eh Old Testamnet. Int he NEW testament, the Ten Commandments are given, and Jesus and God and such talk about how the Ten Commandments are the ONLY laws you should follow. No where does Jesus himself say that it is wrong.

Ignorance/Bigotry should not be a vey 'Christian' thing to do.

Actually anytime the Bible mentions sexual immorality, it refers to everything written in the law concerning sexual unGodly misconduct including homosexuality. So with that being said, the Bible talks a TON about it.

What inspires people to talk about homosexuality isnt the content in the Bible, it is the societal controversy of it, just like abortion!

The GLBT populations are the last openly oppressed segment of our society. It's no longer socially acceptable to be racist, so the narrow-minded bigots had to move on to something to feel better about themselves.

I wondered that too. It appears to be the homosexuals themselves who seem to be asking all of the questions, so why not go to their section and ask them why they are bombarding the Religion & Spirituality section with questions about sexuality.

If they are shown the truth about what God says about it, they still continue to question it. It says it more than 4 times! I guess they keep asking thinking that it will change??

tristanrobin,
It reminds me of the Pharisee's of Jesus time. Do you know about the story of the blind man in the New Testament? Jesus cured a blind man and the Pharisee's interrogated him. They kept asking questions about how he was cured even after he told them.So the man said," Maybe you want to be his disciples too."

Maybe some Christians want to be Gay too.

Perhaps it has something to do with so much of the liberal political and social agenda being set by the gay lobby.

Ummm...you are asking one of those questions...What is your reason? Whatever it is, it's probably the same reason others ask.

Sometimes, people want to stir up others. Perhaps they have nothing better to do? Who knows, except for those that ask?
