Well first of man says that God created us in his image, and that image is what we see now, this is rubbish, we can prove for a start that a million years ago we looked nothing like this, however I believe that we were created in his image, but that is nothing that we would understand today. God is not a person, he is everything, just think of all the tiny atoms floating around in space all those little things that make life, this flesh we have is nothing more than some sort of parcel to keep us together, when the time comes to pass on we shed this parcel and return to our true form.
You may think this is rubbish, prove it; what I have said would explain everything from evolution to Adam and Eve.
It's not written this way, because it's beyond what man of those times could understand. If you read the bible you will see it is full of faults, not one person was able to write down the events as they happened, or the way they happened, they couldn’t even translate the bible form Hebrew right, There was no Virgin Mary for a start, it's all there in black and white.
Religion is man made, why it's the best way to gain control of the people brainwash them in to a way of life that man wants, not God, then man can control man, profit from him, in the name of man, NOT God, but gets away with using Gods name to kill, and then when the people of the world ask why did God let this happen, and why does God not help us, well why should it's our mess we left him, and went our own way when he gave us free will, so why should he be around to step in when get it wrong, and listen to man, and not God.
Have faith in God, not religion.
Love & Peace

this is the same as asking if god knew lucifer would fall before he made them--my personal theory is that he had no clue what he was doing when he made humans--that he started off making them the same way he had made the animals, but something about this animal was different, and that's why he didn't just scrap adam and eve and start over after they had sinned--he didn't know what the secret ingredient was and didn't know how to make them again. As for the temptation of the tree, it's kind of like cheese in a lab rat's cage--he wanted to see what we would do

God is perfect and sinless.
Adam and Eve were given free will. God doesn't want us to be puppets. He wants us to love Him of our own free will.
Eve was deceived but Adam purposely went against God's directive that they not eat of the forbidden fruit.
Once they ate of the forbidden fruit sin entered the world. Mankind was apart from God with no way back. His word says that the wages of sin is death and that, without the shedding of blood, there can be no remission of sin. Since He loved us so much He sent His only Son to be the propitiation for our sins and, if we accept His gift, we are redeemed.

You are not offending, it is an excellent question. One must study the Bible to learn about God. It can not be answered in just a short statement. God wanted man to be Holy as He is, but man decided to disobey God similar to what Satan (an angel) had decided. Since man was made a little below the angels.

Good question.
God gave humans free will, so that He could express His love for us, and so that we would in turn express our love for Him. Evil was not a part of human nature until after Eve disobeyed God's command. She disobeyed because she was tricked by the father of lies, Satan. Satan deceived her by twisting God's words and putting doubt into Eve's mind. This is still going on today!

Good Question
God did make us to have free will and God did make us after his image, but satan tricked her and told her that God just didn't want them to eat them because they where the best fruit in the garden and he wanted to save them for himself but really he was the one that was lying and he still tricks people by twisting Gods word and saying things that don't come from God.

God created humans, the pinnacle of his Creation, not because he lacked anything or craved worship, but because he wanted to share
intelligent life {albeit in a limited sense}, with others. His first human creations were new, and given the fact that He had also endowed them with another gift - free will, it was reasonable that they needed testing as to fitness {that's testing NOT provoking}. After all everything that humans make are vigorously tested, from pharmaceuticals to cars

when they were first created they were perfect so knew no sin. They were tempted by the devil and chose to disobey God and eat from the tree.
There were loads of tree's that they could eat from but God chose just ONE that they couldnt eat from. They wernt curious UNTIL THE DEVIL ASKED THEM WHY THEY COULDNT EAT FROM IT AND THEN PROVOKED THEM TO EAT FROM IT.
Therefore they sinned because of the devil.
God has no sin in him and cannot lie for perform an unjustice.
Good question, hope this answers it for you (im a minister)

In God's image means we have the ability to love, we have a sense of justice, we were given power over the earth, and animals, and we have wisdom in exercising our free will.
He provided one law to Adam and Eve, not to tempt them, not to provoke them, but to remind them that as their creator He has the right to establish any laws He wants, and that He had the right to establish right and wrong.
Deut 32:4 The Rock, perfect is his activity,
For all his ways are justice.
A God of faithfulness, with whom there is no injustice;
Righteous and upright is he.
5 They have acted ruinously on their own part;
They are not his children, the defect is their own.
A generation crooked and twisted!
The sin was their own.

God wanted to be friends with people who have the choice to love him or not to love him, not like robots who do what they're told. That's why we're free to choose good or evil, belief or unbelief.
