Alright, I've asked a number of questions defending the faith, but I'm a little tired of fighting. I look back at my questions and for half of them I wonder if I ask them for His glory or for mine. I think I'll start using this forum more in a way I think God would have us use it. To discuss and study the Word of God.

In light of that spirit, what do ya'll think of this verse in regards to the way we've been treating non-christians on Y!A?

27"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. 30Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Luke 6:27-31

Anyone got any other verses that they think might be helpful?

I appreciate the praise of the question but I'm still really asking the question.

Let's dive into this verse a little deeper? How can it applied to our lives? To what extent is it meant to be applied? Is it a hyperbole for living a good life or should you really offer a person to do more harm to you that is doing harm?

To "Born Again Christian". I see your point, but I don't think the vast majority of Christians on this site are equiped well enough to be making these kinds of battles. I also don't think this is the right time, but that is just my opinion.

That's why I really want to use this forum to educate and build up Christians in the word. Yes there will always be a back ground noise of people trying to tear us down but in doing so they will be reading the word of God as well. Only good can come from us studying the Word. When we lash out against non-believers, we can very easily lose our goal.

Easier said than done. If everyone, esp. Christians lived by that verse the world would be a better place.

Ephesians, chapter 6 verse 11

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Ephesians, chapter 6 verse 12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

I am not CHristian, but I am glad you are going to let us Pagans be. I think that is what your God would have wanted too if thats what it says in the bible.

Thank you so much!

13:6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
13:7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
13:8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
13:9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
13:10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
