I'm not being disrespectful. I believe everyone has the right to believe what they want to. But with all the doubt we have in society today-I even asked a question about it-why do people believe in the bible?
We have a hard time believe magic exists, immediately assume someone is crazy if he says God spoke to him (even if "God" didn't tell him to do anything crazy, maybe just helped with a personal problem), and for the most part, people can't even get their stories straight half the time, so I doubt the bible is correct word for word anyway, but even so, everytime something is questioned in the bible someone will always answer with "Because it's in the bible, and God made it happen." Well that was back then, but what about now? Our doubt is so thick, even though we believe in burning bushes, a magic staff that separated the ocean, and 12 plagues that came from nowhere, if anyone spoke of these things happening today, people would think it was a hoax.

Matthew 24:24 says that"For false Christs and false prophets will arise and give great signs and wonders so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen ones."

According to many God gave human beings free will. So, given that, some people exercise that and consciously choose not to believe he exists. So then, it is said that those people will be judged by God and will not make it to heaven, will be in the lake of fire, etc..

How is it logical for a deity to give something for someone to use and then punish them for using it?

Yeah, I know they are a Christian religion, but are they those people in which females only wear long skirts and cannot cut their hair? If they are, why do they do that?

Jesus said-I am the way, the truth and the life, no one cometh unto the father but by me."

what is your God if its not Jesus it could be -false belief, materialism, sex, whatever you put ahead of Jesus is your god-and it will fail you-

as a Jew i had everything but inner peace Shalom/Salom and true happiness -the Joy of the Lord is our strength."

well chose your god carefull-what is the goal of your life-when u stand before Jesus-what will u tell him to let you into heaven-Jesus saith, except ye repent, and be born again ye cannot see the kingdome of heaven. John 3

Egypt Catholics Fault Pope

"The pontiff's words have surprised the Catholics in Egypt and the whole East, as a point of fact," Qalta said.

CAIRO — The deputy patriarch of Egypt's Catholics on Saturday, September 16, attributed Pope Benedict XVI's anti-Islam jibe to his poor knowledge of Islam and Muslims, warning that the "surprising" remarks could play into the hands of ignorant Christians.

I admit I was wrong in some of the things I said and thought, and now I am correcting them. I never meant religion was bad, only SOME of the people who follow it. People who believe that because they are of a certain religion they have the right to trample of those who believe something different. So why can't some accept those who are different than they are? If you are so sure that you're right, what are you worried about?

what is it with the, "I am a mature, educated Christian and here's what the scripture says" followed by a two-foot copy and paste of a passage.

Not trying to be cheeky, but I do know the scripture.

And I hate it when people talk condesending to me, like they automatically assume they know more than me. I'm just asking for your opinion.

Anyone have that happen to them?

I keep hearing (and I know it isn't true) that Muslims worship this so called "Moon God". Now.....you and I both know that this isn't true but for those of you who will continue to claim that there is truth is this absurd statement....Answer me this:

Were you aware that the reason most Christians worship on Sunday *which is not the true day of rest* is because before Constantine became a Christian, he worshipped the "Sun God"? Were you aware that the day that we attend church and worship was formed from a pagen ritual?

How would you feel if people started claiming that Christians worshipped the Sun God?

Come on people, knock it off with the bullcrap.

i am westerner and i have worked in saudi and travelled and lived in many muslim countries ok. although never been a religious person i always respected all religions and people before i encountered muslims and islam while in those countries. the way muslims treat people of other faiths is so bad and ugly that i have now lost respect for muslims.
now you non muslims who come here on yahoo and support islam , havent you people got any dignity and respect for yourselves?

i grew up with the idea that if i want respect from others i should respect them in turn. i cant say that about muslims anymore

do you blame me for that?

He is perfect, He is almighty, He gives life eternal. Religions were strted by men, led by men, and they are stagnated because of men. Throw off the yoke of division that is religion it is a cancer. Seek the Lord, work out your salvation with fear and trembling. If you are comfortable in life, then you are not following Christ very well.

A man who is convinced of the truth of his religion is indeed never tolerant. At the least, he is to feel pity for the adherent of another religion but usually it does not stop there. The faithful adherent of a religion will try first of all to convince those that believe in another religion and usually he goes on to hatred if he is not successful. However, hatred then leads to persecution when the might of the majority is behind it......
