If you deny God, you must deny the world. If you deny the world, you must deny life. If you deny life, you must not live.

Your thoughts please regarding Rev 20:11-13, that says God would throw a soul into a lake of fire,

Are non-Christian souls like Kleenex? Use em and throw em away for not having all that lambs blood smeared all over?

Seems to me that all it creates is intolerance, bigotry, and prejudice towards other humans.

It is my opionion that the Pope used a quote from midevil times to highlight a systematical flaw in the Islamic faith. This is the encouragement of violence inside of religion. In no other faith is this accepted but Islam. First of all, the Pope neither agreed nor disagreed with the person he quoted, he was using the quote as launchpad for greater (DEBATE) on the subject of violence in religion and how this is not acceptable no matter what faith you practice. Let's all come to an understanding, there is no room for understanding with these people, they have so much hatred and jealousy in their hearts, they don't want to discuss anything at all. They want to grab their machetties and hack off someones head because their prophet said they could. For pete's sake, they beat people for not showing up to prayer meetings. Does this sound like rational people to you? Peaceful religion my ****!!!

Yesterday, the Pope said that "early muslims spread their religion through violence". Now, the Muslim community is demanding that the Pope take back what he said. My question is...should the Pope take back what he said? Or does he have a right to voice his opinion on this matter?

Your pope (who is clearly ignorant about Islam) said that it was an "evil" religion that was spread by the sword & like many ignorant people he said that Jihad(it means struggle in Arabic) means holy war(there is no such thing as holy war in Islam)

No what is the Christian response to this??? are you happy now with the word of your pope??? Why do you keep proviking the Muslims?? 1st it was the invasion of innocent Iraq, then the Danish cartoons & now your pope Insulted Islam??? Is that what you want: another Crusade like Bush said?????

im a thinking of the blind spot muslims have when it comes to accepting the reality that violence played a significant part in the spread of their religion.
why are they in denial about this?
if you are brough up to reject ANY criticism of your religion, i suppose you just believe everything youre told, and your religious teachers are never [voluntarily] going to tell you about any of the unsavoury deeds of the past, becuase they
have the same conditioning not to question or criticise.
[western] science has at its heart the search for truth, unhindered by any ideology faith or philosophy, which is why we have discovered so much [and why we have technological supremacy.]
what about muslim archaeologists, do they evalute what they find through the screen of religious beliefs or are they free to be scientific in their deductions?

Christians are reminded EVERY DAY on Yahoo that their ancestors were responsible for the Inquisition, the Salem witch hunt, and the ravaging of the Native Americans. Our God is always portrayed as a mean, violent, power-hungry jerk.
But say ONE BAD WORD against Islam, and you're jumped on for it. Mention Al Qaeda, and you're told that doesn't represent real Islam.
Mention crimes against humanity in communist countries, you're told that doesn't represent real communism.
Mention the crisis in Darfur, the Mogadishu meltdown, the attack on 9/11 and you're told they have little to do with religion.
But a bunch of jerks who had some power 500 years ago, that represents the real church of Christ!
