You need to see the question on Yahoo censorship. The power of the Internet lies in the quickness of communication allowing small groups or pressure groups to lobby effectively. Basically you've been mugged. The Pope said a few ill chosen words. The pope has been in a very difficult position ever since GW Bush started talking about crusades then sending a mainly Christian army into a mainly Muslim country. The ill feeling caused has not had time to heal. I seriously doubt that you believe that only Muslims visit this web site. The right wing moron chatter from the USA bears witness to that not being the case. If only we could turn the censor off to enable a free and frank debate but some members of society would listen to the dialogue but are unable to hear what's said, the terminally blind of hearing will never uses their little grey cells. It's called bigotry.

Not at all. I don't mind questions about anyone or anything providing it's a proper question and not aimed at deflaming ANYONE. Some of the questions I've seen on here are simply racist or defamatory and you have to question the legality of such questions too. I've reported many myself when I've found them, although I don't go out of my way but in the end Yahoo decide which questions breach their terms and conditions. Just have to read 'em and try to keep inside their boundaries but at the end of the day, even those who do sometimes feel their wrath for whatever reason(s).

I've so far got to level 3 on over 1,000 points and yet to have a problem. Mind you, I've not asked any questions about Muslims so maybe that's why? I've answered a few mind. :)

Strange, isn't it? You often see comedians, on the box,. joking and poking fun at the Pope, Archbishop of Canterbury etc. But they are scared to have a go at Muslims or the Islamic religion.

Quite true. Are we not entitled to our opinions also? Freedom of speach only applies to ethnic 'minorities' in this country and we get slated for trying to exorcise it.

Funny how you don't see many muslims on here condemming terrorism eh?

Make them all carry ID cards, police Mosques and watch them ALL very closely. Prevention is better than cure.

Well, it depends how it was worded. I've come across some questions that were really hateful, and the asker then retreated into the the 'I was only arskin' defence.
But as a general principle, you have my sympathy - if people have sufficient faith in a belief to mould their lives around it, they should be happy to defend it to all questioners, and not demand immunity from scrutiny.

Ah.

See, in this politically correct day and age, the only religion that you are allowed to question/bash/insult/castigate is Christianity. Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, and all the other "isms," are exempt, and they'll string you up by the short & curlies if you "offend" these groups.

Shame on you. *wink*
