im a thinking of the blind spot muslims have when it comes to accepting the reality that violence played a significant part in the spread of their religion.
why are they in denial about this?
if you are brough up to reject ANY criticism of your religion, i suppose you just believe everything youre told, and your religious teachers are never [voluntarily] going to tell you about any of the unsavoury deeds of the past, becuase they
have the same conditioning not to question or criticise.
[western] science has at its heart the search for truth, unhindered by any ideology faith or philosophy, which is why we have discovered so much [and why we have technological supremacy.]
what about muslim archaeologists, do they evalute what they find through the screen of religious beliefs or are they free to be scientific in their deductions?

Anyone who undertakes a scientific investigation to prove their belief system is not a scientist. It is true not just of muslims. Creationists have been doing this for a very long time.

The scientific method calls for a hypothesis based on consideration of existing evidence, then attempting to disprove the hypothesis (prove the null hypothesis). If the results significantly support the hypothesis and the results can be independently reproduced, one has a theory that is supported by the EXISTING evidence. Theories can be disproven or changed to fit new evidence that was previously unknown, but one has to bother to seek out and test that evidence, just like the original informantion and tests.

Undertaking research to specifically try and prove (or disprove) a belief system without compelling evidence to support a solid hypothesis is not science.

muslims won't cover up their lies like other religions. There is no compulsion in religion, a very basic and simple doctrine. If what the opponents of islam says islam provoked violence in the past, they're absolutely mistakened. For if that was true, the very muslim groups will be fighting its other to stop scatterring violence and forced convertions of non muslims.
If islam did made forced convertions, why in the world are there lots of christian, jewish, and other non religion communities living in muslim dominated territory? Have a critical mind, mate!

Just to point out, I didn't know these guys were forced into Islam?

-Malcom X (born Malcolm Little)
-Mohammed Ali (born Cassius Clay)
-Kareem Abdul Jabar (Formerly known as Ferdinand Alcinder)
-Yusef Islam (Formerly known as Cat Stevens)

It's the fastest growning religion in the United States today, and I don't recall hearing much about people converting at gun point over here.

Pangel, it really is exactly what I anticipate. There are as many approaches to get to non secular team spirit with god(ess) as there are those who've ever existed. each and every individual who ever existed is a particular individual, why might want to all of us ought to stuff that forte down and suppress it to develop into automatons, worshipping contained in the exact same way as everybody else? It makes honestly no experience to me in any respect. Deity needs us to discover our personal direction, our personal voice, our personal thanks to love and befriend him/her. If it got here out any opposite direction that could want to be the most dissapointing difficulty of all. Brightest advantages, Raji the fairway Witch
