It would be better if people had an accurate representation of what the religion truly taught.
It's the morons that claim to know the truth that are so dangerous to society today.

Truth implies full knowledge of facts and circumstances. If you don't know it, don't say it. If you know it, confer it with the concerned first so that you will be better appraised. Avoid telling others ahead of the concerned.

(KJV)
2 Chr 7:14
14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Matt 7:4
4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
you see, the problem is not evil doers or other religions, but a spiritual void in our own hearts that has repercussions.
the other religions look at our hypocritical nation and believe we have no GOD at all.
