I recently went to a wedding reception where a christian prayer was said during the dinner. My main dude and I are both atheists and he is definitelty anti-christian. Imagine my dismany when I saw him do the sign o' the cross. I asked him why he did it, and he said it was only to appease the other people at the wedding.

So, do you think that atheists and other non-religious types should play along in these situations? Or is it better to do nothing at all (which is what I did)?

I am sitting in my bed in the middle of the night
I have a very strong uncomfortable feeling I am not alone
I know something is there but I can't prove that I can feel
when is moving...

sometime my things change of place in my room
and I am sure I never move my pants or my socks where
I find it in the morning ....

I never believe in ghost or spirit but something is there
but I don't know what is that...maybe GOD?

in the day time I can hear a voice but in this case
is like a old friend is talking too me whos that?
my Guardian Angel?

The Question is:
do you ever have this feeling?
there is any way to find out who is keep me awake in the night
and who is talking to me in the day?

PS my wife believe in this kind of stuff
but I have some problems to believe
I think I am crazy....:-P

Since I do not want to leave you without examples, here is one:
I was standing in the checkout line at a grocery store. The man behind, whom I had never met before, told me that I was buying too much junk food and that I should eat healthier.

Another example: My aunt has four kids and people will make comments to her like, "Haven't you ever heard of birth control?"

What is the most loving and Christian way to deal with such comments and questions?

Thank you!

Churchs fight for non profit statis and freedom from government involvement in the service, but they try to make other people from different walks of life live by their standards, gays, alcohol, etc while they can't even worship in the same building together as different denominations,If they can't agree down here on earth! how will they get along in heaven?Do gays march on christian concerts and screem through mega phones. maybe laws should be passed for this to happen at their events.I know a baptist pastor who preaches against gays, while his gay son living in hawaii pays his mortgage. Why can't christians Focus on their own families. their reward is in heaven stop trying to make the earth which will pass away your earthly reward, only those who really want your beliefs will accept them.isn't there more child molesting going on in the church, and what is the stigma with preachers kids?and how there more wild (some of them) live and let live the choice is ours. hatred to us earns zip....

Leviticus 20.19-20.21 It says if a man has sex with his uncle's wife neither will be able to have children. It also says if a man takes his brothers wife, they will die childless. I'm sure if someone were to look they would find many cases in the course of human history where someone has had a child with their aunt or someone has had children with his brothers wife. Wouldn't you think?

You go into a house and you see brand new 1500$ laptop or $2000 cash. you do some homework and you know no one will find out. Why you should not steal it (Unless you are a believer and u know god sees you)? But if we leave faith out of it, why shouldn't U steal? Please give answers w/ logical backing.

I just asked a question aboutbeing uncomfortable praying with my father's gf's family. It's not the praying that makes me uncomfortable, but the fact that my father never did anything like that and would never go to church even when I wanted to go. You know, stayed away from relegion as much as he could, but now all of a sudden we're about to eat dinner and he grabs our hands and she starts to pray. We had no idea. I guess after reading the answers, I realized that the problem was with how to talk to my dad about the change and not with the praying.

When I was away at Missouri Valley College, our BSU played a VERY spiritually awakening game called Four-Square City....Now that I'm leading a youth group, I'd like to open their eyes in the same way. I'm living in St. Louis if anyone could help.

A year ago I met a woman in my mothers group through my church ( not everyone in the group is religious and thats fine ) her son got sick with NO explanation. her 5 yr old had something wrong with his heart, it was enlarging with no explanation. Some other test showed problems with his kidney and liver.
Her son, we'll call him Joe got to the point of asking his mom Am I going to die. She said NO. Joe was in one of the best hospitals in the country with the top dr''s in their fields.
Our mothers group started making them meals, praying and doing what we do. Her husband who is Indian from India came home to find all these baskets with toys for their son and meals in tupperware. He asked her why? she said thats what christians do and they are also praying for us.
As this was happening, everynight we'd get updates about Joe. One night I was like GOD why and how could you do this to a 5 yr old child, I know im not supposed to question or ask but please just a sign and I would

Why do most relgions believe that when you die you will either go to heavn or hell? If they are relgious they most likely read their Bible right? So then they would have read this
(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.

"non believers have demons living in them, and it's the demon that reacts.

they can't live in a body with God, so they look for the ones that have no protection, and make it their home"

Satan was as sure he would not defeat God as God was. Satan was making a display, fully knowing what the cost would be. What could have been his reason? What could be so important to sacrifice his relationship with God?

Several times over the last few days I have heard/read something to the effect of “Witches/Neo-Pagans/Wiccan only think they have power but Christians have real power.” If you agree with this statement;

A. What sorts of powers do Christians have?

B. What sorts of powers do Neo-Pagans *think* they have?

If you do not agree with the above statement then;

C. Which doughnut is the best doughnut, why? And is it donut or doughnut?

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Donuts!!!!!

Our religions are mostly inherited by us from our parents, teachers and environments. Were we not taught about our religion and made to believe in it since our chilhood or since we came to our senses? So how can one say that his/her religion is the best or truest, when he/she had not adopted the religion after understanding it or comparing it with other religions. (Therefore, aren't the people who do not believe in any religion, are the most intelligent?)
