Your question explains precisely why the whole God theory is full of holes. If there were a forgiving God as so many Christians (and others) believe why does he/she act so unforgiving most of the time...

I think we've felt like you do at one time or another . I do know God always answers prayer it may not be the way you want it to be but God is alway looking out for our good. He sees things different than we do. Do you keep a prayer journal? If not try keeping one and you can look back and see what he's done for you. Also sometimes he let's things happen in your life to build character and to gain spiritual strength so that we can be ready for the really tough stuff.

I think you can only do Gods will. He doesn't choose who he wants to help, he helps everyone. but he knows what is in store for you. Maybe it wasn't the right time, so it wouldn't of had the same effect or impact on you if you recieved it right when you asked for it. instead God waits and knows perfectly when and how to help everyone, If they Keep the commandments. If you don't recieve an answer of anykind you have to take a step back and see if you are living according to Gods word.

Maybe what the person thinks they need is nothing but what they want. Maybe what they think they need is so far from what they truly need to experience.

Maybe you feel like you aren't blessed because you don't beleive or Thank God for what you have. Are you alive? Are you missing arms, legs, fingers? You obiviously got a computer and a home to put it in right?. Maybe you should have faith and believe in the Lord and try being Thankful for what you do have. Remember the world does not revolve around you or just one person. There are alot of us. Quit being so selfish. You should Thank God for your friend being in good health and not be upset about it cuz you didn't get what you asked for.

God shows his tender Marcie's in different ways to each person, and sometimes it take a lot of suffering to see what He has given you. If you count how many ways you have been blessed I think you will see that God has shown His mercies . Another thing, God docent work miracles on our time table. He chooses when and how to answer prayers.

Thats just the way it is, God or no God, the rain falls on the just and the unjust alike. There is no "fair" in nature, so don't blame a mythical world ruler for anything. Just do the best with what you've got. We all need to learn to do that, believe me. Best wishes to you.

I use to think he answered prayers, so i would only pray for a good cause. why should i waste good prayers on selfish stuff, right. but now i see God as a watch maker of sorts, and he really doesn't intervine like i use to think. even though life seems random, it is all about timing and that is something God has a lot of.

I asked about this the other day. I was told - remarkably - that 'God answers all prayers except when they run contrary to His will'.

In other words - God helps you, he's answering your prayers.
God doesn't help you, it was against his will.

I gave the answer 'Best Answer' because it was such a remarkable example of the ability some people have to deny the obvious even when it stares them in the face...

Life is a miracle, breathing, running, having your two arms, and legs are a miracle. Being in good health, having family. Those are blessings and miracles are all you need.

Sometimes you may pray for something or someone in your life, and God could answer it right away or years later or in a different fashion.
