Just out of interest I go to a christian school and got suspended because I wore a piercing on my eyebrow to school. I had a note for it yet I got a lecture and they told me that we have to follow God and go down the right path and all this crap and having a piercing apparently isn't the right thing. Its not like it says anywhere in the bible that piercings are a sin but I get suspended for having one and its not right according to God. What do you think is there a certain way I have to dress to be a christian or something?

anyone from another religion who suggests that his religion is false. Also, is it reasonable to refute a religion by quoting its own holy book(s) to show its falsity? There seem to be many questions and answers reported where the "reporter" is PROBABLY of the religion criticised. This may be tantamount to denial of freedom of speech.

All those who know about Ganga or have seen Ganga at downstream or even have heard about Ganga at Kanpur, Allahabad...can answer this question? The objective is just not to get the appropriate answer but the real solution, the practical sollution under the circumstances given below.

1. keep in mind the fact that almost every Indian let it be Hindu or Muslim or from any culture knows about the status of Ganga.

2. The entire efforts laid down by the Indian Government of Netherlands Government has failed, bringing the results to Zero.

3. The entire Indian Judiciary system failed to make Ganga pollution free.

If you look at the people who are killing Iraqis, it's foreign fighters from Jordan/Syria/IRan and secterian violence: shiite vs. Sunni. No where in there are Americans doing the killing - it's all Muslims killing other Muslims.

My point is why would God tell us to be humble and not having to show what we do for Him in big extravagantways to bring attention and then he wants us to preach in remote areas of the earth so that EVERYBODY knows??/

Not only was it a custom in the Arab society to Engage/Marry a young girl it was also common in the Jewish society. The case of Mary the mother of Jesus comes to mind, in non biblical sources she was between 11-14 years old when she conceived Jesus. Mary had already been "BETROTHED" to Joseph before conceiving Jesus. Joseph was a much older man. therefore Mary was younger than 11-14 years of age when she was "BETHROED" to Joseph. We Muslims would never call Joseph a Child Molester, nor would we refer to the "Holy Ghost" of the Bible, that "Impregnated" Mary as a "Rapist" or "Adulterer".
According to the Priest of Saint Mary's Catholic Church: "Mary was approximately 14 years old when she got pregnant with Jesus. Joseph, Mary's Husband is believed to be around 36. Mary was only 13 when she married Joseph. When she first was arranged with Joseph she was between 7 to 9 years old."

According to the "Oxford Dictionary Bible" commentary, Mary (peace be upon her) was was 12 years old when she became impregnated.

So if I want to be as silly and ridiculous as many of the Christians, I would respond to them by saying that Mary was psychologically and emotionally devastated for getting pregnant at a very young age. And speaking of "child molesting", since most Christians believe that Jesus is the Creator of this universe, then why did GOD allow himself to enter life through a 12-year old young girl's vagina? Please note that we Muslims love and respect Allah Almighty, Mary, Jesus and Allah's Message to the People of the Book (The Jews and Christians). In other words, we Muslims would never make fun of Christianity through such childish topic like this one as many ridiculous Christians do make fun of Islam through our Prophet's (peace be upon him) marriage.

If so, why don't priests use them to determine whether people who claim to be possessed are legit or not. What are your thoughts?

Once a group of people start preaching it, it becomes more fashionable. Christianity/hinduism, etc etc are trends. They brainwash people and they will never go out of fashiion because so many people have been convinced.

Does it say that there are no "innocent victims”, that every bad thing that happens to you is a result of your previous actions (as in you are being punished), or does it say that in the afterlife there will be justice made (as in some people punished and some rewarded)?
