...and yet, Christians were put on the erath to go around and prech the gospel for the whole earth to know.

My point is why would God tell us to be humble and not having to show what we do for Him in big extravagantways to bring attention and then he wants us to preach in remote areas of the earth so that EVERYBODY knows??/

In the passage in question He is commanding us to be humble about our acts. The implication is that we nullify our good deeds by telling everyone about them because the motive is for the recognition, not in the helping of another person. This is completely separate from the command to preach the gospel, which is to spread the 'Good News' of the Gospel. Spreading the Gospel is different, although intended to coincide with, good works and helping those in need.

Maybe the answer is that Christians weren't put on the earth to go around and preach the gospel for the whole earth to know.

Matt 6
6:1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

At the time, and still to day, many wish the whole world to know just how much they give, to make a show of it. It is a way of saying look how Godly a person I am, ain't I holy!

Give in secret, let no man know your givings, try even to hide you gift from yourself.

It has noting to do with preaching.
Nothing to do with any other work for God!

Stand on a street corner handing out bibles with a bull horn with 8 of the major news cameras rolling is good in the eyes of the Lord!

There is a difference between preaching to all parts of the earth and giving food to someone and telling everyone "I gave food to this person. They didn't have any food so I went to the store and bought $100 worth of food and brought it to them. Now they have food."

Matt 6:1-4 says "Don't go around telling everyone of your good deeds, because if you do, you are doing it for your glory, not God. God will see what you do, and that's all the matters." (paraphrased by me)

To be humble is the state of your spirit, mind and body knowing you need God and cannot do things on your own.
