Does it say that there are no "innocent victims”, that every bad thing that happens to you is a result of your previous actions (as in you are being punished), or does it say that in the afterlife there will be justice made (as in some people punished and some rewarded)?

I am not interested in your personal opinion, I am curious what different religious documents state.

The bible clearly states that the one who commits the sin will be taken to task for their transgressions and the victim will be rewarded for their suffering. It says revenge is not for us on Earth. What God has planned is much more fitting than what we have the capacity to do. It also says the wheels of justice turn slowly but they do turn.

In the old testament (Deuteronomy) if a women is raped - her attacker must pay her father the bride price and then marry her. Of course in NT Christianity the concepts of healing and forgiveness are stronger, although I know of no specific references on rape.

As for Islam -
Islam has a clear stance which states that this repugnant action is haraam and imposes a deterrent punishment on the one who commits it. The Shariah punishment for rape in Islam is stoning if the perpetrator is married, and one hundred lashes and banishment for one year if he is not married.

Some scholars also say that he is required to pay a mahr (dowery) to the woman. There is however no marriage.

A women is permitted defend herself and not give in to the aggressor who wants to violate her honour - even if he is killed, because it is self defence. If she is killed she will be considered a shaheedah (martyr)

(the above information on islam is from the 'strictest' schools of thought - however all PRACTICING muslims would agree that rape is henious crime even those moderate/liberal muslims who may not agree with capital punishment as a valid option in this day and age)

1 Now Abraham moved on from there into the region of the Negev and lived between Kadesh and Shur. For a while he stayed in Gerar, 2 and there Abraham said of his wife Sarah, "She is my sister." Then Abimelech king of Gerar sent for Sarah and took her.
3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream one night and said to him, "You are as good as dead because of the woman you have taken; she is a married woman."

4 Now Abimelech had not gone near her, so he said, "Lord, will you destroy an innocent nation? 5 Did he not say to me, 'She is my sister,' and didn't she also say, 'He is my brother'? I have done this with a clear conscience and clean hands."

6 Then God said to him in the dream, "Yes, I know you did this with a clear conscience, and so I have kept you from sinning against me. That is why I did not let you touch her. 7 Now return the man's wife, for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you will live. But if you do not return her, you may be sure that you and all yours will die."

Genesis 20:1-6

6 "Do not deny justice to your poor people in their lawsuits. 7 Have nothing to do with a false charge and do not put an innocent or honest person to death, for I will not acquit the guilty

exodus 23:6

I could give you hundreds of such quotes but the problem is you may read them or take them out of context. If taken in a Christ like manner in which you understand from the beginning of the Old testament to the end of the New testament that God loves all of us and desires relationship with us and even suffered and died on a cross so that this relationship could be possible then you know that regardless...God loves you.

They say the Bible doesn't talk about reincarnation. But it does.
And it says we have to answer for everything while done in the
body. It says living in the flesh is needful for us.
Jesus Himself said that Elijah lived again as John the Baptist.
Two references in Matthew. But people twist it around and try to
ignore it.
Reincarnation answers many things. And we have all lived
many lives. That way we cannot look down our noses at
anyone else. We have all lived as soldiers in war, who killed
and maimed. Took young lives from mothers and fathers,
Therefore, there are no innocents. Every has to suffer the same things they did to others.
Karma, what goes around comes around, is the truth. And we can see, that God is not unjust.

Deuteronomy 22:23 - If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;24:Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.25: - But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.26:But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:27:For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her28:If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;29:Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

Numbers 31:15-18

And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive? ... Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

well, innocent victims are truly innocent victims. what i mean is that they are not the one who would suffer much on this but the ones who did the 'crime' (like the rapist for example) so the BIBLE says: "Revenge is mine" says the LORD; and if u have a BIBLE with you, you can take a look on Galatians 6:7 w/c states that:" God is not mocked, whatever mans sows, he reaps" it could be here on this world,.... it couldnt be his ownself but he could definitely be affected, and it will happens as a consequence of the sin he had done. if not here, definitely life after this, all sinners who never repented of their sins will surely be punished and put to death.... you can check out to some sites who could broaden your knowledge about some Biblical truths and find enlightenments to some of life's most confusing questions.... i pray you do so... God bless u for asking such! :)

It says in Deuteronomy 22:28-29
> If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed,
> and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
> Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's
> father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife;
> because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away
> all his days.

So, if a man rapes a virgin, she is required to marry him.

Hey all you single christian males! Does this explain your date rapes?

Hi! Jesus said: forgive them, they did not know what they do. Friend, I went through the last war where I saw so much hurt in all sorts of ways people were raped, robbed and killed. NowI look at Jesus, what did he do wrong? Nothing, he just bore your pain of being raped or robbed or being violated by what ever means. We can all give thanks that there is a way to forgive and release them, forgive them, and then give thanks that you now can help others. 20 years ago I nearly died of cirrhosis of the liver. I nearly drank myself to death because of the memory of the past. Now I can believe the love that God has for all. you can find me at http://freedomvoice.net
