**Please read all details!** Today I walked down my hallway, and glanced at my fish tank, only to see one of them on the floor of the tank, dead. It was a very depressing sight, even though you may think it was just a little fish, dead things are always sad to look at. It was not dead because of my neglect, we think one of our spazz 8-inch catfish had another panic attack and unintentionally killed it.

Anyway, so this got me thinking, do animals have an afterlife? Do they have a soul/spirit? And I wanted to know what the people on this site think. I would appreciate knowing specfically what religion you practice, and what you think of this. If you are Christian, do animals go to Heaven in your opinion? If you are whatever, it does not matter, do they reincarnate? Do they just...die? Do certain animals have an afterlife, but not others? Anyway, please don't focus on how my fish died or how this may be a stupid question. Go into as much detail as you please, I sure did! Blessed Be.

I remember reading a passage in the bible once that told how the husband and wife should enjoy each other and have a vigorous sex life. It talked about the woman opening her legs wide for her man and so on. Where can I find this in the bible?

I'd rather believe that there is a God and find out there isn't one then to believe that there is no God and find out that there is one.

I forget who said this. It mighta been Albert Einstein.

What do you think of this?

Are clones without souls? Two different beings cant share the same soul, can they? And if they do have different souls, there was no creation of that soul via conception. Which makes said soul man-made, correct or no?

No bashing please, its just one of many questions I have to help guide me into deciding to place my faith in science or a Higher Entity.

Do you agree with absolutely every single thing in your faith and every single stance they take without a single question or doubt that it is right? There isn't a single thing you think could be out of place. You have 100% agreement with it.

I'm not talking about People who follow it loosely, but those who are completely devout following their major faith system.

If you are not this how can you tell another person it is the right way to be?

Answer these questions please.

Both the Quran and the Hadiths claim that Muhammed is the final prophet. But the Quran also says that Jesus was a prophet. It goes on to say that Jesus will return to the earth in the end days. Wouldn't this make Jesus the last prophet? Does the Quran contradict itself once again?

My family is christian.. they just recently started going to church more and they want me to go with them but religion is just not for me. They think it's because I just haven't "found" god yet but they don't understand that I really do think christianity is a big joke.

We have at our church these girls and their mother that are so annoying. They sit like in the third row from the front. They sit and stare and flirt with the Pastor. They do this through his whole serman! He pays them no mind though. I think he got used to them or just oblivious to their advances. The girls would laugh and giggle after every sentence he says as he preaches. These girls are always this way and now it is so irritating to hear them laugh and flirt and be so loud. When they sit and respond to him, they just be wiggleing in their seats. I have noticed since this new pastor has been here that they have been more annoying then ever! They are in their late teens almost in their twenties. Four of them and they are sisters. When they laugh is is like cackleing and clucking.Good grief, they are the most annoying people I have ever been around. When church services ends we cant wait to leave because of them. How would you react in this type of situation? What would you do?

If we took all the religious people (believers) on Yahoo Answers and put them in a big hall together, and put all the non-believers in another hall far away, what do think would happen?

I think that in the hall with non-believers there would be great fun, interesting conversations about science, the universe, how silly religious people are, and generally speaking, I think the non-believers would have a big party and makes lots of new friends amongst each other.

On the other hand, sadly to say, I think the police would called in no time at all control the hall full of believers. I suspect with all the differing religious viewpoints, and the hatred religious people seem to have for one and other, that a mini Holy War would break out.

What do you think would happen in the religious hall?

Read the UN report yourself, it was written by Arab's. http://www.undp.org.sa/Reports/AHDR%202003%20-%20English.pdf#search=%22Arab%20Human%20Development%20Report%202002%22

If you claim that this is only an "arab" thing, your a racist. Arabs are as capable as any other race, they only have the misfortune of being cursed with Islam.

Its amazing, for example Islamic countries translate 1/5....one fifth as many books as Greeks do...think about that!!!! They literally get almost no intellectual edification...no other views...their universe is so tiny.

Why do you think this is?

Islam creates this culture of close-minds and cavemen. Islam creates the high poverty rates. Islam creates the hate and intolerance. Islam is the source...f*** political correctness people....it will be the death of us.

Ok, my first week at college. I went to the concert they put on for students, but not liking rap, I left.

I wandered around and came across the small religious room they had with different religious symbols on it and such and..lets make this short!

The room was cool, empty, fountain in the middle.
I wandered around in it, layed down, sat on the floor as I listened to my Mansun album "Six". Paul's album critizing his religion, talking deeply as most of his songs some-what do (ok, the religious part anyway).

*********
It felt WONDERFUL! I felt sadness, anger, happiness, excitement, peace, confusion, understanding, flashing all within only minutes as i listened. A LOT of pure joy! I did shake a little and almost/kinda cried.

So, has anyone ever done something like this and felt all those emotions so purely.

Please explain.

thanks!

ok here goes... i come from a strong pentecostal backround and th is year i have been attending our church ( the west end Christian assembly) every sunday now... i love the Lord, God for all He has done for me... now... i have called on Him to help me because i am very frightened. I have a drug problem. I smoke pot habitually everyday and i have been deeply disturbed by my habit for sometime now ( maybe like 6 months ) and it is really bothering me. perhaps Jesus will speak to me through you and you can help me get through this. i am very addicted, but i love God. and his commandment is to have no other God...to me that means put nothing before Him, have nothing that u do more than worshipping the Lord, which he rightfull deserves. but i feel as if i idolize marijuana and i find this incredibly scary. Jesus made a demon go away from me when i was 5...and it was like a smokey figure... with swirling colorful eyes... it reminds me of my smoking habit ( i also smoke ciggarettes ) help me

Okay, I was curious as to what Christians thought about this. By the way, as Muslims, we believe in Jesus, Moses, David and all those Prophets, we also believe that Muhammad was the last and final messenger, peace be upon them all.
Ok, firstly, "Paran" is a biblical name for the part of Arabia called Hejaz where prophet Muhammad [pbuh] was born. When prophet Ishmael and his mother were driven out by Sarah; they settled in the "Wilderness of Paran" (Genesis, 21:21).
Look at the following Verse: "And he said, The LORD came from Si'-nai, and rose up from Se'-ir unto them; he shined forth from mount Pa'-ran [Mecca in Arabic], and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. (The King James Version Bible, Deuteronomy 33:2)"
When the Prophet and the Muslims re-entered Mecca, they entered and took it over (without shedding blood) with exactly 10,000 fighters. Also, the thing that Islam is known is for is its structured set of law for living.
