Will the Jesus Curse ever leave Jerusalem that Christ cursed the Jews with in John 8:44?

"You are of your father the Devil and the desires of your father you will always do. He was a murderer in the beginning and stood not in truth because truth is not in him. When he spaeks a lie he speaks of his own because he is a liar and the father of it."

And this was Christ's reply to their claim that Abraham was their father.

Can Bombs remove the curse or make it worse?

Jesusalem is the City of renegade Muslims and pagan Christians and the curse of the Crucified Thieves Jesus remains on Jerusalem, the City that was named for Peace.

Gen 2:17 tells of God warning Adam that if he eats of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, "on that day" Adam will die (not that Adam would be condemned to die eventually, but that "on that day you will surely die"). Yet Adam lives on to the age of 930.

Do you think, perhaps, that after witnessing God's 'wisdom' in Gen 2:18-20 where God tries to convince Adam to choose an animal for a mate, Adam figured God's 'wisdom' about the Tree was just as shaky?

Wasn't refusing God's offering of animals for mates the first time Adam chose not to trust in God's wisdom? Is original sin the result of Adam not trusting God because God offered him animals for mates and not another human?

Imdumm2 asked people in this forum what is the first thing they think of when they hear the word "sin". Almost -everyone- who answered said "sex".

If you're not ashamed of sex, why is it so many answer questions about angels, and so few answer questions about bisexual animals?

but suppose its designers advanced it .. and made it reproducable .. then after centuries .. humans will say that it has not a designer .. very funny .. do you understand what I mean..
simple ----> has designer
complex ----> has no designer

an advice to everyone ..
if you want to be able to say that you designed a thing .. then do not advance your productions very much .. because you will lose your tenure ..

opinions aside can you prove you faith is correct

2006-08-27 00:42:00 · 13 answers · asked by gasp 4

Why do people want and have faith instead of saying prove it all the time?

Ie looking for reason, rationaity and acknowledging random events?

Like why are kids not brought up never to trust authourity and always to deman evidence and proof and reasons behind everything unless in an emergency where they have been told to trust the smartest best person for the job having done all the demanding proof...

or logical patterns...

ie like a gap in a periodic table... missing links are likely but probably been eaten.

That realistic. Much like the probability that if you leave a bunch of 14-18 year olds for a week there is likley to be a party.

I work in a casino. I deal blackjack and other games. I have been a christian since I was 7 about 25 years ago. I've been working in this business for 10 years. This is a very hostile working environment (especially for Christians). We see all kinds of sinful acts. My question's are: Is gambling a sin? Do you think God would rather me not work there? Do you think God has a purpose for me working there (like maybe witnessing to people)?

I really dislike the job and want to "quit" but I don't know if I would be letting God down or making him proud by quitting. I have prayed on this subject many times. I'm also scared about leaving a good paying job without having any other degrees. I would most definetly be taking a cut in pay if I were to quit, but I know if it's the right thing to do, God will provide.

Thanks for your answers.

Does that make every single last one of us inbred? How does that take into consideration different races etc... Am I wrong in my assumption? Does that make Jesus inbred as well? Is that the reason why people get cancer and have disabilities and poor eyesight?

Gen 2:18-20 describes God creating animals and birds to try and find Adam a mate. And the ungrateful wretch turned them all down. Either God is clueless, or God was trying to get Adam into bestiality.

Can you explain why it wasn't until Adam had rejected all the animals that God figured out that Adam needed Eve?

The Trinity is defined as "One God in Three Persons," all three of whom, as distinct and co-eternal "persons" share a single Divine essence, being, or nature. Some say that one is not saved unless they believe this doctrine.

They still think that every word in the Quran comes from allah. but at the same time when questioned about literalism indicating towards a story in this stupid book they contradict themselves by trying to cover up the meaning.

do you believe that religious books are literally true? (i say what a load of rubbish)

There were 'hints' in the media, questions here on Yahoo! Answers, and lots of silly speculation about "August 22" being the 'end of the world' or 'the start of World War III' but when the day came and went without incident, all the yappers and head nodders were strangely silent.

So, would any of them, or anyone really, care to explain why all the fundamentalist kooks disappear into the woodwork like so many termites when their dire predictions of woe and torment don't happen on cue?

Will any of them give up their crazy notion that we're in the so-called End Times, and start being responsible regarding the environment and/or begin treating fellow humans with respect regardless of their religious affiliation (or lack thereof)???

I'd really like to know the answer to this, because I'm so, so tired of all the Chicken Little theories!

How is it God, the all-knowing and all-powerful perfect God, managed to make -two- distinct, -imperfect-, disobedient creations (angels and humans) ?

It is said God made Humans to freely worship Him, yet He already had Angels who freely worshipped Him. Why bother making Humans? Why not make more Angels?

It is said God made Humans in His own image, yet why not make Angels in His own image? Why are the Angels not good enough that God must make Humans too? And if the Angels are not good enough to satisfy God, why are they in Heaven?

Seems to me the existence of Angels sheds doubt upon the stated purpose for creating Humans. Everything God wanted from Humans He was already getting from the Angels. So why make Humans too? Especially when His creation of Angels led to the disobedience of Satan (which God knew would happen before He created the Angels) and His creation of Humans led to the disobedience of Adam (which He knew would happen before creating Humans).
