i often wonder cause most questions under religion and spirituality seem to be people mocking my Faith. I have respect for everyone no matter what Faith or denomination or colour or creed. Why then is it always that atheists and non-believers come on here to trash my Faith with their twisted and trashy answers or questions. I do volunteer work in the community because i am called to do that as a Christian. I do youth work (so youth stay out of trouble) i dont think i would have done this if i had a different upbringing cause the world as we know it suggest that its every person for him/herself....that which is selfish and not based on love. Do these non-believers come here because their own lives are so messed up they have to trash Christianity for a laugh...its common for the uneducated to laugh at that which they dont understand, i have yet to see a Christian who asks mocking questions because of their non-belief...does this boil down to a matter of respect? just wondering....

How do you reconcile the contradictions in the Bible? For example:

The sixth commandment says you shall not commit murder, yet David slew Goliath. Did he sin?
How can religious ministers take paid roles in the armed services?

Just interested in your views.

The advert in question shows a group of priests out on the ice and a young lad is sent to get the beers. On his return, he falls through the ice. When he climbs out again, the beer is lost and a senior priest makes him dive back in to retrieve them.

This question has been bothering me for some time. I've asked many ppl that I highly respect, but no one seems to be able to give me a straight answer. I really feel as though God has given me the desire to serve him, but I'm hesitant to do it, bc I don't understand what the Bible says about women in the ministry. And i want to make sure my desires are God's will and not my own. I've read almost every place in the Bible that talks about women in the church and I'm either misinterpreting it or I understand what the Bible's saying and I don't like it haha. I guess my real question is that even though women are more than capable in many cases to serve God in many ways through a local church, what is the true way ordained by God for women to serve?

Any opinions anyone?

truth is experienced subjectively. It is only my truth that I experience. Only I know what I know. That is the route to truth.

what if man's law tells us to do something that the bible says not to do. Such as lie, steal or kill people.
what about false religion? Should we worship in false religion even though God's law says it is not for Christians.
But man's law says you have to.shell

Before USA got there? They wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for 9/11. when you bomb people as Hezbollah is finding out it makes people mad. there was the gulf war. Where Hussian went into Kuwait. he also gassed Kurds. Afganistan had a war with Russia. Iran and Iraq was in a war. When I looked it up there has never been a time when there wasn't a war in the middle east and rarely was Israel or USA involved unless directly attacked.

God that is everywhere-I will not always be with you-Oh you mean in the flesh-But WAIT-He was resserrected from the flesh and still"I will not always be with you" Yeah for about 2000 years now-he has been as evasive as Elvis-so here is the moral behind this story-place your faith into a man that calls himself the son of GOD if you want to-but remember that when you are so sure that he is THE CHOSEN ONE and the day comes that you are called-"I will not always be with you" is the excuse he might use for not being at The Right Hand of Himself-GOD-that he said he would be-Now two places at one time both as the son and as the Father-I really don't think you have a GHOST of a chance and what are you going to do if he isn't-so since you can't be so sure now I think you Christians need to put your lil club that has been the foundation of every ruined Government in the history of this world into a RE-Think Tank-because if you continue to push this-"I wont always" U R building your house N SAND!

The Son of God came to earth in a body body, making Him both divine and human. Did He have free will like us? Could He have choosen not to be crucified? Could He say no to God's plan and run away"? I'm thinking no because then He would be saying no to His own plans and disobeying Himself. So am I right in thinking that Jesus had no free will because of His divinity?

I got headaches when I think too much :)

And that the Scriptures don't warn us about things because they are imaginary, but real? Like astrology and witchcraft?

People obviously don't need to hit children to raise them. The parents who physically punish their children are just sadistic. The children who are spanked are 9 times more likely to go to prison.
