As a catholic, I can oly get married in a church once. Unfortunately, that once didn't last half a year because I had been misled by the groom and his family. Now, I have been married to a wonderful man for five and a half years and have two beautiful healthy children. How can I get my first marriage annulled to that my legal husband and I can get married in a church?

Call your local diocese and ask for the marriage tribunal department.

Find out what the procedure is for anulments in your area, and then go ahead with it.

If cost is a problem, tell them and they will reduce the cost or even waive it.

Don't put this off. The process takes a while anyway, and you want to get this taken care of as soon as possible.

If you need more information, or you need personal help, contact the pastor of your local parish. He can tell you what to expect, in terms of time, cost, and paperwork, and put you in touch with the right people.

God bless you.

You need to go to your church and talk with the priest. Annullments aren't easy to get. The church has you and your first husband fill out paperwork and ask detailed and personal questions. But if the church sees that he deceived you during your engagement and marriage then you will probably be able to get it annulled. I might take 1-2 yrs but I have heard of some people getting one in 4 months. Good luck!

you would have to talk to your priestabout that. he'd know the steps you should take to have it annulled in the church.
